Is it just me, or the 90s had some crazy sci-fi movies. They really invested in the script writers 🔥
@oyetadeisraeloluwatobi741716 күн бұрын
You are not alone, most of the recent movies make one wonder if there are no more scripts/stories to write.

People were very creative and use their imagination. Gen Z grew up with technology and social media thinking for them and telling them what to think not how to think. Instead of going outdoors, they stayed indoors on social media and glued to their wireless devices.

I have seen this movie being recapped in multiple channels so far but this one is my favourite because 1. It's more detailed than the rest 2. The narration script is better 3. I am kind of addicted to listening to stories with this specific bgm.

*This is one of the most inspirational movies I've ever watched.* Vincent didn't let anything stop him from achieving his dreams, not even his genetics. "You wanna know how I did it... I never saved anything for the swim back." Imagine our world if everyone had that drive to pursue their dreams. He ran across traffic blind to share an intimate moment with a love interest. The soundtrack matches the movie perfectly. *This will remain one of my top 5 favorite movies.*

Gattaca is a compelling movie with beautiful music. After 25 years, it's only a tiny bit dated. Still well worth a watch.
@Tylerpierre9922 күн бұрын
Idk really, it felt aesthetically dated when it came out. The way it's shot and the design gives it a old school feel or a timeless noir-esque feel to it in places.

This movie actually saved me from depression. I don't know what I'm supposed to do with little resources when I was in my 20s. Now I'm 30 i got a house of my own, a cat, yes a cat and I got cars too... I'm living more than enough. Idk if I want to get marry though... Never really thought this far.

He didn’t show Vincent the silver medal because he thought he had a lot to live up to. He did it because even he couldn’t get gold. “Jerome shows Vincent his silver medal from when he came second place in a swimming competition, and laments “Jerome Morrow was never meant to be one step down on the podium.” The silver medal is a strong symbol of the inherent flaws in the society depicted by Gattaca, as even the genetically superior elite, who are promised success, can fail.”

This movie would be so much better if instead mc was acting on his brother dream to go to space. Mc perfectly healthy but invalid birth. Mc brother injured but valid birth. So they work together to get one brother to space. Side polt : 1)After mc brother get injury their parents divorce or just abandoned the brothers, due to self doubt and shame. 2)give a proper reason for murder, the cancellation of the project would cause the director of project to feel shame. Also his family would compare him to a invalid family member. This cause him rage and result in the murder.

In fairness, this type of technology weeds out deadly sequences to allow for viable pregnancies. This film was based on the fear of the budding technology blending with that concept and going too far, but it helped my husband's cousin have a beautiful boy by finding a viable embryo. Hopefully, it stays that way and only goes so far.
