In Karnataka mainly in these nine day we set doll in our houses we go out to temples . and do pooja all these nine days . visit mysore jamboo sawari which is celebrated very grandly but we don't eat non veg in any of these days it depends on their culture . finish the pooja by praying god and taking out the dolls . this is what I do in these nine days . by the way the video was awesome . and we also celebrate mahalaya amavasya and vijayadashami on the tenth day

In Bengal, it is completely normal for Bengalis to eat non- veg during Durga Puja . Bengalis are predominantly Shaktas( i.e, the worshipper of Shakti) and Tantricisim formed the core of ancient Bengali culture. As a result, it is completely okay for a person to eat non veg during Durga Puja. We celebrate DURGA PUJO and not Navaratri. Stop trying to lecture us about our language and our culture. Non vegetarianism is an ethnic part of Bengali culture since time immemorial. Even, matsyapurana mentions fish as a food item which was consumed by the people of Gaud. We know our culture very well. Stop disrespecting other communities in the name of moral policing. Let her eat what she wants.🙏🙏 Peace🤞🤞

@@anjaliverma6129 , Here are the key differences: 1.) Navaratri is celebrated for a period of nine days, followed by Dussehra. On the other hand, Durga Pujo is celebrated for 10 days. 2.) Durga Pujo is a time when Bengalis indulge in plethora of non vegetarian delicacies. While Navaratri is a period of fasting where devotees do not consume eggs, meat, onion, garlic during the period of nine days. 3.)The first day of Durga Pujo is Mahalaya, a day when the battle between Mahishashura and Mahishashuramardini ( i.e, Durga) takes place. On the other hand, Navaratri begins with worshipping Shailputri , the first avatar of Shakti. 4.) Navaratri revolves around worshipping Goddess Shakti in her nine forms and it ends with celebration of Lord Ram's victory over Ravana. Durga Pujo celebrates the victory of Goddess Durga overr the demon Mahishashura. 5.)In Bengal Goddess Durga is worshipped as a daughter of the household who returns from her sasural ( i.e, Kailash). As, a result of which it is seen as a time to rejoice, laugh and celebrate her arrival with fun and Bengali cuisines. At the time of the goddess' s vidai ( i.e, during Vijaya Dashami). Durga Pujo ends with Sindoor Khela ( Vermillion game) where married women put Sindoor on each other. Along with dhunuchi nach and arati where sweets ( mishti) are offered to the goddess. On the other hand, Navaratri ends with Dusshera, which marks the end of Ramlila and recalls Lord Ram's victory over Ravana.
