Land-rover. Check the connections for crap in them at the lift pump and filter head housing. And any banjo bolts. Some lift pumps have a strainer in them too that blocks up. Hope this helps

Pin hole in your fuel line somewhere could be your problem. Corroded fuel line along the chassis somewhere. A none return valve before the pump might help

Hi have you tried replacing the petrol pump I had a rover and that done the same thing and the pump used to get hot and stop the car the same as your one is doing just something for you to think about

Your Land rover sounds like a car I had, fitted a new pump only to discover I fitted it back to front. Car would run for about 20 mins then die, wait few mins would start again.
