A serious illness completely blew up my schedule of spiritual commitments. I have to review my practice day by day now, coping with my new limits. I realize that it's not a disaster, the magic/spirituality is still there in me, as intense and deep as before, it's just that I can't always externalize it as I would like. My magic/spirituality expresses itself differently now. It is OK, it is enough. And as you said, I ''honor my evolution'' anyway.Thank you for this video, I will take the time to think carefully about your very relevant questions. Best wishes 🌛💗

I am always imagining this fantasy version of myself and I'm always discouraged by the amount of things I don't know and that I'm still a baby witch, but not knowing can also be so exciting !! Sometimes less is more, I feel guilty when I have to scale back things that I've planned. But perimenopause has taught me that less is more. As a Peri-Witch I feel my witchcraft is more powerful but I do not always have the energy to practice in a way I used to when I was younger. I've learned I have to take each day as it comes.

I love videos like this because I remember that it’s never too late to start again. It’s okay to rest and recover after time of no activity and or a slumber because as I see it in my mind, the magick needs a rest, it’s awakened and then it sleeps so if overthinking causes it to be exhausted then we need to allow it to sleep and gently wake it up with light ritual and meditation or reading old journals then it will pick up again refreshingly with no pause but again it may need a break and that’s okay. I use the Full Moon for mine and give it a week having tools cleansed and charged then I slowly get to work, softly coaxing it out like a shy spirit then I give it space to be alive again then I rest physically to wake up early in the morning before dawn and go at it like a charging stallion and I intentionally stop at sunrise then reflect upon that awesome rush, that’s my method and because I’m a Fire Element it works for me nicely.

Haha oh my fantasy artistic self is sooo organised and so tidy. 😅 (I am a collage artist. Like, nothing is ever going to be tidy about me making devotional art by cutting up millions of pieces of paper and combining them with glue.)

I loved the image of the fantasy spiritual practitioner - YES! That really resonated and gave me food for thought. And I would certainly endorse the importance of having enough of a commitment / challenge to keep things interesting but not so much that it becomes a chore or an invitation to rigidity. Yep, definitely been there, done that! I had to laugh, though, at the idea of a silent retreat being an endurance challenge. My problem with silent retreat? It wasn’t silent enough! 😂 Thanks, as always for stirring my mind into thought and recognition.

I was planning on experimenting with feminine divine more, but kind of realized that I was limiting myself as an a-gender witch and then I was exposed to all these ideas and queer/nonbinary inspirations by my witchy community....so sometimes when one door closes, maybe we need to learn to see other doors or windows and our communities can really help with that, even if it's just with ideas that will get our own creative juices flowing! My fantasy self was more about wanting something that was actually meant for someone else and it was because I was never exposed to anything different in terms of ways to practice witchcraft. Now I know that the sky is the limit, but gender doesn't have to be! :) Sometimes we see others' practices and think we should do it that way, but there's so many different and yet undiscovered ways of doing things. I like that Kelly-Ann always encourages and inspires us to experiment and move beyond our initial expectations. Thanks for this video at a time when my practice is cha nging a lot....yet again!

Also, having ADHD usually means that I have a really random and ever- changing practice which makes me feel a bit like an imposter and a dabbler...but I think it's beautiful in a way because it keeps me mentally flexible.

spiritual slump, this is what i'm noticing quite alot in the spiritual community recently and alot people will say they feel exhausted and increased aniexty and wondering what's going on in the world lol some will hang in there as encouraged by the spiritual youtubers that will say it's to do with the 'energies' and the idea is to have the inner work done so you can get through the phrases and this is the 'roller coaster ride' of the spiritual journey as they say. but i've noticed spiritual people just giving up altogether like what you see with doreen virture and the waves of testimony videos, one spiritual youtuber i followed did that and i was like no way as she repeatedly said do your shadow work people but now she has a totally different view where there's no work required. i think this whole thing is affecting people collectively and people just don't know what to do anymore lol it's intense to the point where people can give up on their spiritual journey over this. it's just interesting seeing this and trying to see what's really happening on a bigger picture level.
