Man so many times I had lack of sleep because of it. First you started marathon speed in a large map and it is day time. Blink several times and there you have it - it's 3 am in the morning.

Emperor is a crazy thing to start on lol, the AI basically cheats on anything above king

AI in civ6 is even worse than 5. Emperor doesn't provide any real challenge to the game. It's almost impossible to lose.

I plauu Civ5/6 a lot but I suck at it I only play king difficulty but i have thousands of hours into the games

try turning off yields for tiles, the map looks much better. you can turn back on when needed, but settler and worker already show it when selected i think.

To be honest, i feel this series has been declining for a long time now. Nothing comes to Alpha Centauri anyway. I nearly failed school because of that damn thing. No 4X game ever grabbed me as much.

Civ 6 was the first Civ i barely played. I tried it i think 2-3 times and I just didnt enjoy it. It was a long time ago so i dont remeber my specific complains, but i vaguley rememeber that recources didnt make sense for me. And Im overall not a big fan of the art style they went starting with civ 5, everything is so pastel cartoonish, civ 6 was the worst so far in that aspect. I hope they go at least to more realisitc looking cartoon style, if not totally realistc for VII. Personally i would love to see realistic art style for Civ games.
