In honor of the start of fall, I thought it would be cool to finally post this!! This was about a month old and I was waiting for it to finally turn into fall- and now is the time!!! Thank you to my pookie, Ria, for jamming out with me on this. This was actually the first take we did, and we had kind of already decided that the first take felt the most authentic. However, the universe must've been doing us a favor because we wanted to film it a couple more times, but we turned on the fan because it was so hot-- that was our first mistake. The audio got completely butchered on all of the other takes because it just had the whirring sounds of the fan, so I think that was a sign to keep the first one as the winner. It may not be perfect, but this is one of those songs that no matter how it may sound, it just has a whimsical charm that warms hearts.
This is definitely an ode to "Juno", not only because we love Michael Cera but also because this song is just too good not to play. To me, this song feels like when the world was a bit more yellow and time didn't fully exist in my brain. Most people associate this song with a romantic lens because of the nature of the lyrics, but I think this also applies to all the friendships out there. To see how special and important each person is in your life, and that you can't see it in anyone else, but in each other!
