I was 11 1/2 in '68; my father bought an Ambassador that year. I still have two AMC dealer brochures from '68, one without the AMX, one with. So I've known about the AMX for decades. In 2019, my dream of owning one came true, only mine's a '69 with the 390 and a 4-speed.

Awesome - hope you've gone back and watched all our other AMC features - lots of cool stuff including a '69 you'll love.

My dad bought a javelin when I was a kid. It was a good, dependable car that went 130.000 miles. A big deal back then. It still ran, but nedded work snd my dad just got another car. A 78 blazer that was awesome

Very well done, Mark and friends, car looks great and is historically significant, if only as the (apparently) only Playmate car still in existence, but who can say for sure, maybe the others also got repainted and some unsuspecting owner enjoys one (or more) now.

Took a lot of things for granted that could have let it slip away. Waited a day to check it out. Paid a deposit and several days to finish the deal. Holy Grail cars have to be grabbed immediately

Born in 66 father owned a bodyshop .I'm pretty sure thats the same car as the mary kay cosmetics cars of that year. For top sales people.
