I was in tears at my desk yesterday in total overwhelm with a work situation. After hearing you talk about this, I think this is what I naturally tend to do. Stop, make a list, what can wait, what is priority, carry on. I always feel like I leave your videos a better person. Thank you for speaking into our lives. ❤

You got this Kathy! I’m so glad that this video reached you in a moment like this when you needed it. Seeing that you naturally follow a step by step process like S.A.A.R. whenever you feel overwhelmed is amazing. I use to try and muscle my way through it, thinking if I kept pushing I’ll have a break through…. but often that turned into a break down. Love that you have a process that’s working for you! You feeling like you leave my videos a better person is so amazing! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my content with you in this way! I’m honored! I’m also rooting for you! Keep growing Kathy!!

Not sure if this is the video I watched but a couple of days ago I saw one of your "overwhelmed" videos and after thinking about what you said, I had a major A-ha moment. Declutter doesn't mean organize. I spend so much time & money sorting through the mess and trying to find ways to make it look good. And it never does. Craziness! The stacks of paper & unopened letters are still there, just in decorative boxes. The 5 bottles of shampoo, 6 kinds of soap, and 3 cans of Comet are still in the bathroom, just stowed in different places (under the sink, in the shower caddy, and in the bathroom cabinet I squeezed in beside the toilet). I'm going to check out the links you included but I want to thank you now. You have no idea what a difference you have made😊

This is great advice! I definitely think the "stop" to reevaluate is better than quitting when feeling overwhelmed, but it is important to remember that sometimes quitting can be necessary. Especially if the situation or behavior is toxic it can be necessary to quit (i.e. smoking cigarettes).

I get overwhelmed with trying to change something, and then I just stop. I need to work on assessing and adjusting so that I can find the energy to resume. Keep moving forward is the moral of the story.
@RonaldLBanks Жыл бұрын
Change itself can be scary and overwhelming, so I understand how you feel 100%. Assessing and adjusting are definitely helpful though. Try this process and see how it helps you! Keep growing on your journey Lilac!

I use Start, Stop and Continue but I like the steps from the video better because it gives space to assess the situation and make necessary adjustments. If you ever do a KZbin live I would definitely like to know. All these videos speak to me on a very clear level and they are so easy to follow. I can even be multitasking and still pay attention. Its wild!

I do also expect to be overwhelmed. I do keep notes outside of my head and I write things down too and review often. This makes it easier to breathe on busier days. I am trying so hard to not expect anxiety so thanks for these tips

Thank you for this. It’s fire!🔥 I am the sort of person that plows through and tries to keep my head held up through it all at the expense of my mental health and lately my very soul. Your tip is spot on. If I step away to assess, my thoughts can clear and I’m able to make better choices, or cool off from the situation. Then I can adjust to my new level of understanding. I’ve been checking in on my values to see what is in alignment too. Last, I’m able to resume, maybe I’ve given it time, something I’ve never done before. Anyway it’s all really helpful to reduce my stress levels and to hold my life vision. Thanks again!
@RonaldLBanks Жыл бұрын
I love how you’re applying these steps Erin! Also the fact that you’re checking in on your values is huge also. As I’m sure you know, I’m a big proponent of core values so I definitely agree with you here. That’s an important piece to this as well. Keep it up!! 🙌🏾 I’m rooting for you!

My relationship with my family. I feel stuck. I want my own space again, but it’s going to come at a price tag of paying for two places to live. One being for my Mom. How can I navigate this? I honestly can’t live like this anymore.

I get how you feel. Making adjustments is going to be a game changer for you though. Look at some things you can do differently to help you meet people. Join free Facebook groups in your area, check out locate events, strike up genuine conversations with people you cross paths with, etc. Just a couple things to consider! You got this though!
