Feeling loved and appreciated is so important. Being surrounded by constant malice and suspicion; basically, hated for no reason is not good for the soul. So thank you for the peace and love. It’s like a balm in Gilead, one of those old negro spirituals. The intel ain’t bad neither!

Prince Hall was from Barbados. A lot of my cousins are Prince Hall Masons. In fact my family church in Madison County Ga was built by Prince Hall Masons. There is a plaque on both churches that has Prince Hall Lodge on them.

Listen, I have been on Fawn Weaver before the beginning... My maternal and paternal bloodline come from Appalachia as moonshine runners. I am no longer a drinker, however, I did in my 20's and 30's. Hard liquor is not my thing. Uncle Nearest is top tier. Fawn Weaver:genius.

No, Office Hours and the Introduction to Africana Studies classes are exclusive to Knarrative members only. To participate, you must be a member of Knarrative and have access to our community app, Knubia, where we broadcast several classes and host conversations, including Office Hours LIVE every Monday at 8 p.m. ET. During Office Hours, we typically have around 2,000 participants, and you'll have the opportunity for a one-on-one Q&A with Dr. Carr. Go to Knarrative.com to sign up.

Grand Rising all. I'm trying to get in touch with Trinity CME Church in Miami Florida. The phone number does not work. I received information from a cousin that my grandfather was one of the founding members of the church actually one of the founders. I'm trying to contact them to see if they have any photographs because I don't have any. I'm 71. My father was born in 1900 and his father I'm trying to get a photograph of was born in the 1800s around the time of emancipation. Any help would be appreciated .

Sorry, it's not the Quran they follow. The rule of choice is closer to Quran than the Shariah they enforce. "There is no compulsion in religion." The two must not be confused. TY

Lest we forget rap rose to prominence as a result of the US discontinuance of Music in schools. Then the art form was hijacked by the exploitative perverts. I'm always surprised that African Americans haven't adopted the Steelpan. It's an affordable musical instrument that accommodates all musical genres. There are steel orchestras in Sweden, Japan, the UK, Germany, in fact the instrument has caught on all over the world except the African American community and Continental Africa. 🤷🏿 Whatever happened to Pan-Africanism?

14:25 I didn’t see it like that. I guess knowing the history she wrote about, I was looking for a great read. She talked about her husband a lot. And her life overall seemed sheltered. The book came across to me as “boring”.I feel like a biography for her was too soon.
