Even the five Prophets of Firm Resolve (peace be upon them and on all the other prophets) couldn't breach this Godly Law. Furthermore, even the one considered to be the fifth Rightly Guided Caliph, was also poisoned by his own clan of princes, for the same reasons: they lost their amassed wealth and privileges under his rule, for the sake of a welfare state in the service of the poor. And the Umayyad dynasty went back to doing Umayyad things, and sending back the poor to their place. He wasn’t defended by those he served, nor did they take it upon themselves to carry on his legacy. It’s similar to the quote allegedly attributed to Imam Ali: “I’m amazed by their audaciousness in their wrong, and your timidity in your right” (Sorry this wasn’t supposed to come out as a rant.
