Such reasoned analysis and informative discussion. With 52 views at the time of writing, I wonder what do people watch!

El-Erian would recognize that although he might look okay to some extent, Taylor Swift is definitely hotter.

Queens college should renovate their speaking hall with walls that don’t freak out video codec compression…all videos they produce will use SO much more bandwidth since the video won’t be able to compress the noise from the camera.

This lecture recalls to my mind an old bodybuilding movie "Staying Hungry", which was an acute and concise gym reference to never settling for second best, to never stop working hard, and to never settle, to always looking for an edge, and always grow and self improve. Socialism solves many of society's problems through a strong central government that can act as an insurer of last resort, but one side effect of it is that much of the populace--in this case the labor element of productivity which El-Erain is referencing--no longer "feels hungry", or compelled to work as they might otherwise without subsidies, and therefore produces less. In laymen's terms, if nearly an entire British or US city with a region can sit idle, collecting government benefits, the productivity of that city is going to be squashed; it's only too obvious why Brexit occurred and participation in an otherwise efficient economic forum was vacated, because the larger internal problem of sovereignty over it's own borders was revoked, whereby it's own welfare state abused. Britian has become a victim of it's own welfare state success, coupled with poor management of internal affairs.

growth, growth, growth that's all they care about, they have nothing else. but is it sustainable? probably not, rich western economies easily afford outbidding developing nations for resources
