Very humble person - Messner was probably the better climber, but I think Habeler is one of the most sympathic mounteneers in the history of alpinism.

Peter Habeler has always been more down to earth and more humble than Messner. Messner see

Bullshit. Messner is incredibly humble and honest. Peter Habeler is the one who ruined their relationship by twisting the story of their summit of Everest and pretty much lied and tried to take the credit.
