It really does capture the feeling of a dream, the way it pulls you back in and vaguely connects to reality but isn’t congruent or sensical and I love the character stylization and outfits

0:16 she’s attired like a Greek goddess, using her powers for creation and life 0:40 the detail that she has on one sock shows her vulnerability and child like essence 1:12 that feeling of being plunged back into sleep and dreams 1:44 thinking she’s in the “real” world, she swats away a creature she had cared for deeply in her idealized dream world. To me this is the most heartbreaking scene. 2:10 she realizes she has some power over the situation. 2:27 my gods the fascinating concept of her being able to put her hands through her own flesh to concentrate her power…! 2:38 she rubs her eyes and she’s in her sleep clothes again - I missed that the first few times I watched. I enjoy the garbled messages behind her, very realistic for writing to be almost unintelligible in a dream 3:18 she’s being turned from magical and powerful to digitized static Brilliant water metaphors throughout. Great vocal exclamations. Love that her ideal world color scheme and attire is opposite her corporate nightmare. I love/hate that this doesn’t have a happy ending, but an eerily unsettling realism. I dearly hope it’s the middle of our girl’s story, and not how she decides to live the rest of her life.

oh this is stunning, it looks absolutely gorgeous and it absolutely captures how dreaming feels, from the surrealistic environments to weird physics. the little moment where she's grasping for the papers and it isn't quite working like it should hits perfectly. i'm sleep deprived enough that waking up when i have to is always Very Difficult, and this captured that feeling to the point of being uncomfortable. incredible work

Really like this short! I love the level of mystery that keeps building and building until it just hits at the end. Animation definetly is definetly one of the highlights as well. Great work!

She killed her dream by holding onto that briefcase, and the dream killed her turning her into a functional ghost in the ‘real world’. Some worlds don’t mix or don’t mix well.
