In Deep Water | Dredge (Sinister Fishing Adventure Game - Demo)

Dredge is a fishing adventure game which starts out as a nice trip out catching fish and soon turns into a sinister adventure around some mysterious islands.
We play a fisherman but we don't control them directly, rather we control our little boat and how we interact at various points on the map. In the sea we can stop at fishing spots and do a spot of fishing, in towns we can sell fish to the fishmonger or chat to residents there, and at docks around the map we can drop off goods.
With our money we can buy new equipment for the boat, such as better fishing rods and engines, plus we can use resources we find to upgrade the boat. We happen across books we can read to give us special skills and also we find unique items that certain folks are interested in.
However as we travel around we encounter quite a few odd individuals, plus at night the fog rolls in and there are hints of evil things out there. We have to keep an eye (literally) on our sanity because if we linger out in the dark too long we begin to lose our mind a little...

I have a feeling it was a bad idea for the wife of the newly wed couple to keep that keychain with the old boat name on it. You might even say I have a......"sinking feeling" in the pit of my stomach. Probably means their marriage will soon be "hitting the rocks" despite them "drowning" each other in affection.

I like the way the mayor clearly must have seen you unconscious on the wet dock floor however decided to just leave you there and prioritise in going through your wrecked boat and moving all your worldly possessions 😂
