Cool video.. bought my fiancé one last year and she loves it. Got some clover hill suspension on it and fmf shorty to help with the bottom and she rips the track / hills and desert. I myself rode it more than my crf 450 . Went out this year and got myself a 250x because of this bike.. out of all 3 the 125 is still my favorite

I own a YZ125X and weigh 95ks (210lbs). It hauls me around just fine but could do with a stiffer rear spring. The forks and brakes are fantastic, feels like you can get away with anything the trails can dish out. As the guys say technical hill climbs are tricky, I use a lot of clutch and very soft tyres to help keep it driving forward (Shinko 525 Cheater) if I can't blitz it. I have installed a VHM head and jetted to suit, it gives much more power off the bottom with some usable roll-on in tight terrain which it lacked before, massive upgrade. For racing I would be faster on a bigger bike no doubt, but coming from a YZ450FX this thing is waaaaaay more fun to ride. At the end of the day fun is what it's all about and this bike has it in spades.

My only two class wins this season for my 220 pound self have been on my 125XC. I race the 125XC, Beta 200 RR and a KTM 250 SX setup for XC with Rekluse. At my age the handeling on the 125 is so nice

I'm lovin' my '22 125X! I'm right around 170lbs+ and have had no problems. A little clutch work here and there but that's the 125. Super fun in the woods up here in the Pacific Northwest!

I got myself a 22 125X. Currently have 35 hrs on it. Riding mostly desert single track, whoops, some sand hills. I also own a TE250, and a 350exc. So far I have been riding the 125 more. It keeps you on your A game. I am running a keihin with the stic metering rod. Will do a few more mods eventually. I am 5'8" 175 with gear, 56 yrs old. First 125 I have ever owned. I was really skeptical about purchasing but as I ride it more it is just an amazing dirt bike. I personally would not recommend this bike for a beginner. My son has been riding my TE250, because he is still learning. It is more forgiving in the hills, and requires less work. He likes the 125 on a track but finds the 250 easier to ride out on the trails. Keep this bike in it's power band and it is fast!

It's cool that Two Stroke Off Road bikes are getting attention on Vital. The guys on TT (I'm STILL in jail at Vital..) think the flat brimmed crowd isn't capable of testing anything other than MX. They don't know who you guys are, the new kids in the Off Road crowd. The 1st video was so outside the box they didn't get it, I do.

@@deborahchesser7375 there is another option, the GPX 250 tse, it may not the best choice, but everything I have seen on them has been very positive, it also has the same motor I'm putting in the yz. If you could deal with a $10,000 loan the Beta 200 rr would be an excellent choice by all accounts.

1:55 I appreciate the frankness here, regarding tighter technical sections, I know it can still be done well, its just nice though to have a little low end torque when you need it. Lack of electric start is a deal breaker for me, if it had it I'd consider it and deal with other issues. I have kick start now, and it's much more reliable imv, but there are many instances where a button' could save you.
@mathews06182 жыл бұрын
Everyone compares torque to four strokes. They stall and need clutch and high rpms. Two strokes have more torque and can handle more throttle "roll on" than a four stroke

@@vitalmx A comparison to something similar to what we're seeing in the EWC would be cool. Brad Freeman on a 250 two stroke winning outrights against big bores and even big 500 four strokes getting a win or two. Maybe do some basic suspension mods to even up the playing field
@riccochet704 Жыл бұрын
I feel these kinds of reviews are not representative of what the bike is capable of. You tested it in one environment. Take that same bike on tight single track through the woods. It's a completely different experience. Or hard enduro. It's not a track bike. It's a trail/enduro bike. Someone that's capable of riding it to it's fullest will really take it to a lot of other, more powerful bikes.
