I bought the YZ250x 2023 last December, I use to race CZ'z back in the day. If you could see my face riding the 250 there is the biggest smile. I have retired my CRF450R. At 71 years young I'm back in the saddle again!

Absolutely love seeing the Offroad tests. As a AA/pro Offroad rider, the 250X is an amazing bike. I’ve been racing one for years. Adding a Suzuki triple tapered needle in the carb makes the power even more smooth and linear off the bottom end. Part # 13383-37FE0

Have a 450fx but adding a 125x to the stable. Next would be a 250x and I'm done 😝. Love the simplicity and reliability of these X models. My KTM 300 can stay on the scrap heap.

Yamaha is the only one of the Big Four that makes a full size 2-stroke. I wish there was a KX125 or CR125. I wonder why Honda doesn't

I can't decide which model to go with, I like the graphics and performance of the yz250 (50th anniversary) but I want to be able to go slow in the woods when I need too. Not to mention I wouldn't mind a street legal dirt bike which I guess would be a WR model? Would you guys test that model lineup?

If they came with an electric start, im sure the price would go up to cover the r&d. They might be a serious sales contender with the austrian brands. That being said both my yz 125 n 250 start pretty dam easy. But kicking a bike can quickly exhaust you, especially in a precarious spot like on a hill. So its worth it to many riders.

As 23 250x owner, I'd vote no to increasing the complexity, weight, and cost. Many of the Austrian bike riders now complaining of losing the backup kick starter.

@@boonedawg1506 not on the new TBI ones. Beta yes, not sure about Reiju, but KTM, gasgas, husky not anymore. My 22 KTM 150 has both but new 150 doesn't. My Yamaha 250x is better than KTM in so many ways. Carbon on piston was bad, 45 hours, no carbon on Yz at 22 hours, I mean literally no carbon spots. Just shows what bike runs cleaner.

there's no such thing as too tall of a motorcycle. common misnomer. there are only two sizes of motorcycle. adult and child. unless you have dwarfism, any adult can ride any motorcycle ever made.

I’m 5’9” and ride YZ 250 motocross model. I have to tip toe on flat ground because I’m old and stiff as a board 😂 I fully recommend the YZ 250x, I bought my bike after I rode my buddies 250x. Do yourself a favor and buy a Yamaha 2stroke !

Yeah I only like KTM, Husqvarna and gas gas because those 3 bikes are EFI and they have electric start off-road models

Same. E start and EFI are requirements. It's 2024 and Yamaha is still building 2006 bikes.

All of the things Yamaha did to “mellow out” the power of the “X” model, with the exception of the 18” rear wheel, are all of the things everyone that purchases one will have to spend money on to get that power back.
