To be honest, I think them being alone in the cave, was a good thing. It's the point when they're relationship changed from friendship to love. It helped them come realize, they're feelings for each other. At first they weren't sure about how they felt. Wei Ying is a free spirit and Lan Zhan is more reserved. When they met, I think it was love at first sight, but, at the same time, they didn't know what it was. Wei Ying would always tease and flirt with Lan Zhan while he was annoyed and aggravated with him. When he would tease other people, he didn't know he was making Lan Zhan jealous. I don't think Lan Zhan even knew he was jealous. Wei Ying thought he was just playing, while Lan Zhan tried to avoid his feelings. I think, in some way, Wei Ying did the same because even though he thought he treated Lan Zhan as a friend, he cared about him way more than he did his other friends. When he heard what happened to the Cloud Recesses and Lan Zhan's leg, he didn't realize it but he started acting like a lover not a friend. He worried and cared about Lan Zhan more than himself while they were at that Wen thing. When they were in the cave, Lan Zhan worried more about Wei Ying than himself too. What they didn't realize is that they were already acting like lovers. Worrying and taking care of each other. Even though Wei Ying was playing dumb, you can tell while they was staring at each other he was saying please tell me you feel the same way I do. Not realizing that Lan Zhan was telling him, he felt the same way. When Lan Zhan hummed they're love song, he told Wei Ying he loved him in his way. I just wish Wei Ying heard him when he said "WangXian."

they definitly were different after this scene. WWX asked for him as soon as he woke up from his coma;. The feeling of love made its path in his mind. He wasnt ready to express, even put a name on it. I m so moved by this story , more direct in the novel, more subtle in the drama; both are meaningful in their own way. I love your analysis. i want to shake WWX because he hurts LZ's heart and LZ as well because he restrains his feelings. By the way, i found the 4 volumes to buy in Chinese language. I ordered them .
