I like the smaller pipes they have that old skool pop.. I converted my 2012 impala over to true duals with an x pipe. I ran 2 inch pipes all the way to 18 glasspacks and auger inserts. Then out 2.5 pipe out about 2 feet it sounds really good to he a v6 and has that really poppy sound.

Aj Townsend sounds good, mine started up loud like that when I had tips. Cold starts are still loud but it idles down quicker with 2 inch

Look underneath and make sure the frame doesn't have any massive rust pits or holes in it and youl be good. Rust kills these more than anything else

Some v8s with 2 inch all the way back around 300 and bigger displacement will have too much back pressure with 2 inch piping im gonna throw 2 1/4, or 2 1/2 on my 5.2

Believe it or not there’s a bunch of dumbasses that pay way more than that for a shitty brand name prefab’d “catback” exhaust system and still sound like shit. Sounds good tho man fr! BUT PLEASE.. run that same setup but with 2 1/4 inch aluminized pipe, I promise dude you’ll thank me later and you’ll never put 2in on anything else. Except maybe a Honda Civic lol
