GOODNESS. People are so rude on here. People are still complaining about Gerard Cosmetics, if you zoomed in or not in this video, videos you "promised" to post but haven't, etc. Like she can't please everyone people. It's a KZbin account for crying out loud. If she doesn't cater to your needs, don't watch. Stop with the negative comments. I hate reading the comments on these videos because it ruins my mood. People don't care to critique others but they wouldn't know what to do if they had 2.4 million people online judging them. Plus, if you're enough of a fan to complain about Jaclyn not posting a youtube video about gerard or specific product reviews like she said she would, follow her on snapchat because that's where she talked about it. Not everything is on youtube.

@sarahmoorhead81469 жыл бұрын
But it's HER youtube channel. So even if no one "requests" it, she can do what she wants. There's no rules? She isn't here to serve us with our every demand? lol. And if I was going to review one tiny product or say something quick, I would post it on snapchat too. Because who has the time to set up lights and put on makeup and edit for hours if it's a 3 minute long video? More than half of the time, she says "if you would like a review let me know." She doesn't even promise anything haha. And people should have to follow her on snapchat to hear updates... if you're a dedicated fan of her and are interested enough to demand/complain in the comments about videos she hasn't done....she tells you snapchat is the easiest way for her to communicate. If you are dedicated enough to follow on SC, then she will show you that dedication and give you extra things in her SC's. They find out about her uploads before anyone else, and things like that. So if you want specific content THAT bad, then you have to do some work yourself too, in order to get it. And if you consider your trust in someone based on a youtube post or not... you need to fix your priorities because she can't please everyone lol. With 2 million subscribers, if/when she "promises" to post a certain video, you know how many people probably comment on her video saying "no, don't do the video you promised, we want something else instead."??? Like she can't win. She started youtube to create a happy environment where people can come listen about beauty (she has even said this). So why should it be irritating to you that she is posting something that "not a lot of people want?" if she (who is uploading it) is posting about something she wants? And don't reply to my comment with things I didn't say. Don't say its acceptable for people to "ask...." because I specifically said I didn't like how people were RUDE. Not people just simply asking questions. Thank you though.

Jaclyn, I absolutely love you and you inspire me everyday. You remind me that there is always a positive side to any situation, and that people can overcome anything if they put their mind to it. However, you focus so much on confidence and that girls should not say negative things about their bodies or others, but you make plenty of off-handed body shaming comments about yourself almost every day on Snapchat. Another example would be the beginning of this video, when you say you're crazy for wanting to show us your natural skin in the daylight. To me this goes against a lot of the views you've expressed to us as important!! I love you and only say this because I am interested if you or any of your other viewers have noticed this as well.

Start using hyaluronic acid daily (or nightly), your go to moisturizer (I prefer jojoba oil, there is a purge stage but then it balanced beautifully!), and start using a good SPF of 50. I use the Biore water stuff in the blue tube, it leaves no cast and it's helped take away my pigmentation beautifully! There is also things like retinal, but it would leave me too dry.

KZbin beauty channels: a place where women show their makeup skills to teach us their art. Disclaimer: will involve a shit tone of products of various brands and prices, and a camera that no matter what you do cannot show you how something looks when not on it. Shit no even phones can do that. No matter what the values of the individuals are, we as viewers need to leave that alone their personal lives struggles and problems is their business not ours so butt out they dont owe you shit. Finally, it is in everyones individual power to chose their own path when it comes to appearance. At the end of the day you and you alone can decide if you will go no makeup, or makeup. If you will get your nose or lips done or not. Only you decide that no one else should decide that for you. If you believe youtubers are promoting something it just goes to show how uptight you are. A person can only sell you something if you buy into it yourself by your own interest in something.
@monikitty269 жыл бұрын
Recomendations are just that, recomendations shes not forcing you to try or buy anything thats up to you. Finally, dont hold someone accountable for only sharing something they love in their own way. And dont be stingy over how someone choses to do something. Yes you have a right to your opinion but when you're opinions come out as backlash its no longer valid. You have no right to tear someone down for how they chose to do something.

Omg adding powder on too of your foundation makes such a difference! I used to get weird patches when I was contouring but the powder doesn't let the foundation pick up to bronzer if that makes sense?? Lol

what I don't understand is why you constantly post the illusion, or "smoke and mirror" virson of yourself if you only go on to defend it and have to then, post another more "real" picture of yourself. why keep raising the beauty standards for women, to feed your ego? going on Snapchat and saying once or twice that "everyone's beautiful" doesn't mean shit when you take 100 selfies of your $1000 outfit online. it may help you sleep better. but its not helping anyone. what's the point of it all if you are always saying it's the smoke and mirror effect. to show girls its okay to be materialistic and vain but its all good if you just go on snapchat and mutter the word beautiful a couple times and all is well in the world? show the real problems and real you so there isn't anything to defend. or keep being fake , just don't try to play both sides of the coin. not enough head and shoulders in the world for that flakiness
@emilys50599 жыл бұрын
+Natalie LovAto I get what you are saying, for sure. to answer your question, yes, if you are staging photos of yourself and working the angle so much you don't even look like yourself then absolutely you are being fake. the worst part is that she goes on Snapchat and tries to be mother Theresa.. My comment did make sense, you're just part of the problem. here's a thought, don't put aspects of yourself out in the world that you have to constantly defent. don't be someone who adds to the impossible beauty standard young people feel they need to meet. be someone who shows the real side of yourself and makes a real difference (because saying nobody's perfect on a 135 second Snapchat story doesn't cut it). instead of posting the more 'doctored' pictures of yourself and ONE semi "weird" photo (which is still complete shit because you look the exact same just with a foot and arm in the air), post actual photos of yourself with the occasional beauty shot. that way you aren't having to make rants online about real "beauty" because you'd actually be showing it. or, by all means, keep posting glamor shots. but trying (and failing) to do both is making people lose respect for you. either be part of the problem, or the solution.
@emilys50599 жыл бұрын
+Natalie LovAto please tell me you know the difference between taking pictures of yourself with makeup on, and staging photos and photoshopping them to certain standards.

@emilys50599 жыл бұрын
+Valeria Gonzales no actually I have a right to my opinions, thank you :) her entire life and career is based off the opinions of people. I never said I didn't like her. what did you only read the first sentence? she's fake online and then goes on Snapchat and says "young girls I'm not perfect" but doesn't do anything to back it up. there's a problem in this world that she is only adding to. making herself feel a little better by justifying her online image is only that, making herself feel better. its words. empty effort. if you don't understand, do yourself a favor and do some research on the beauty standard of the media right now. I get it you like Jacklyn, but don't overlook the things she needs to work on. at least I have the knowledge to point it out. I'm not the only one ever to see this about her.

+Erin Ray agree... We are all beautiful... I'm much older than most people who watch JH, I'm 50 nearly 51, and it's hard seeing all these younger girls with no wrinkles or saggy skin!! But I feel beautiful when I put on a little makeup.

+Susan Queen Please don't ever feel intimidated. There are so many kinds of beauty. Beauty of all ages, skin types, etc. Beauty is everywhere don't get me wrong, I love makeup, obsessed, I even make videos about my love for the stuff. But it breaks my heart that sometimes we forget to love that person looking back in the mirror.
@susanqueen46289 жыл бұрын
+Erin Ray awwwww you are so sweet!!! Thank you for such kind encouraging words. Because of Jaclyn I really have gotten back into makeup. I have pretty much put myself on the back burner because I have a special needs son and I just put all my focus on him. But I came across JH and started watching and fell in love with her and her videos. So I've been building up my makeup and learning new techniques. It's really been fun for me and made me feel better. But it's hard seeing these young ladies with perfect skin and no wrinkles! LOL thank you for taking time to say sweet words... Have a great week!!!
