Gloom ward and permafrost are insanely good talents. Permafrost can stack up to twenty percent of your health, which gloomward buffs. AMS alone makes gloomward worth it, being like 400k+ absorb. Hell I'm like 60% sure gloomward affects your AMZ, so that's even more value. It's especially wild because you're taking blood scent over both of them, when it's very easy to math out leech being way worse than both. Also very crazy to drop blood draw for runic plate, runic plates roughly shakes out to be a 1% physical DR against the flat 10% DR of blood draw when it triggers, combined with the reduced cost of DS. Neither are particularly good talents, but at least blood draw does something. To clarify on stats early, while stat priority exist only to verify sim data, mastery is in a much stronger position than haste, outside of an early spike in haste value. This is doubly true in AoE where FDK's damage profile is even more frost damage slanted. Razor Ice should be on MH, for shattering blade builds, as there are a few abilities that hit solely with the MH, and you want to get a RI stack off that. If you're playing breath, you want to play Stoneskin Gargoyle and Fallen crusader over RI, as the capstone arctic assault gives us all the RI stacks we could possibly need even in AoE, so you'd rather just take the 6% MS. Transmitter is pretty definitely simbait, if you miss any task you immediately lose a third of it's value and goes way under other trinkets. For the weapon situation, just ran a few sims, www.raidbots.com/simbot/report/skDZnaV83BoMC6xkq7kcNs Keep in mind I am easily the most retarded of people who do any frost TC work, but it looks like double grippies is BiS for dungeon slice even over a mythic weapon. MMV of course, and employ your own sims eagerly and often. About the pillar a few clarifications. In AoE you absolutely do want to use RW inside pillar if it comes up. That shit slaps. Reaper's mark is fine inside pillar in ST, it does 350% AP if your resources can't handle RM pre-pillar - as in RM will result in you having to overcap KM procs inside pillar to use - it is the right play to hold it for during pillar, and in AoE RM should be inside pillar to optimize wave of souls damage. DnD should always be after pillar, it is a (minor) increase to use DnD pre-pillar without The Long Winter (12 second Pillar), but with TLW (18 second Pillar) all you're doing is trading a GCD inside pillar for a GCD of DnD lost, which in AoE results in a net loss. There is a line where you go into pillar with a KM proc already ready, where DnD pre pillar is the right play even for TLW, but only if FF is already applied, because otherwise you want to apply FF. Pillar and breath are both off the GCD, and should be sent together. Technically the correct play is to breath, wait for Unleashed frenzy to stack, then Pillar but that's a pretty minor optimization. Some notes about breath, you only use rime if you have 60+ RP. Rime makes Howling Blast free, rather than refunds runes, so it does not give any RP unless you are playing a specific talent, which makes it a really dangerous button to press when breath goes into 'danger' territory. Soul reaper is used inside pillar in ST as the highest priority KM generator if you have 3+ runes in execute.

@@zacplumridge3833 be careful of using rime procs in breath, with our haste you’ll often run out of gcds before you run out of runes. Also don’t hyper focus on breath, your 45’s are still incredibly strong.

Some rotational inaccuracies - slappy hands goes before RW, RW isn't used during obliteration pillar windows but is during Breath. Wowhead and icy veins guides have the prio lists. Acherus discord is fantastic for players of all skill levels. Breath requires a coordinated group to play around it in keys.

Been wondering this myself as I seem to be pulling similar dummy parses with BoS and Shatter builds. Maybe it scales better in higher keys rather than the dummies, but I really don't know and can't see why I'd move off Shatter to BoS right now, but I'm sure there must be a reason because all the top M+ FDK are doing BoS.

Yes it does, many abilities count as main hand attacks so it stacks the debuff faster. Fallen Crusader can be on the offhand since it's rppm it literally doesnt matter how many times you are hitting for that one.

I'm new to DK, is Death Strike really that valuable for a Frost DK? I just feel like it is 2 talent points and a bunch of button bloat for a little bit of survivability. Like I said, I'm new so i don't really have a stake in the opinion box, but I just have not been running it in favor of talent points elsewhere.

taking death strike is great, using it as a big AOE in raid or dungeon can take pressure off your healer and it's great when you're stuck in floor aoe while you move out. Had many dungeons where healer dies and me and tank solo survive a boss because of it

Breath is about 2% ahead of shattering blade but will perform worse if your windows are too short. Sb is noticeably easier
