Regarding 15-4. I advise doing the first boss with the boss fleet. Go through 2 fights with the mob fleet to spawn the second boss fleet. Use the mob fleet to defeat that boss. The debuff switches from the boss to the mob fleet. One more battle with the mob fleet (save an easy node if you can) will spawn the final boss. Use the boss fleet to take care of it.

Great guide. The tip on combining airstrikes with submarine attacks is especially valuable for softening up the enemy support fleet and three pip nodes, and something I forget to do because I tend to turn my subs off and forget about them most of the time. Manjuu did a pretty good job shifting around the metagame for this chapter to make tactics, game knowledge, and thoughtful fleet gearing and composition essential. Just wish I had more cog arrays so I could pull Implacable out of the support fleet. Speaking of the support fleet, it's a good feature, but I really hope they don't waste it entirely on anti-air support. I can easily see repair ships overhauled for use with this feature, battleships used for targeted bombardment, munition ships increasing ammo count and passively buffing, etc.

Don't forget to use your new tactical ability to move the mob fleet out of the way of the second aircraft on 15-4. No point fighting it while that second aircraft fleet is still assisting.

For cats I recommend Jiromaru and Justice in the mob fleet. They both have a skill that has a 15% chance to launch preemptive strikes reducing the enemies stats by a certain percentage. My Justice when she procs that skill can reduce an enemy fleets stats by 18%. My Jiromaru can reduce by 13%. For Justice you have to run a DD in the fleet and for Jiromaru you need a CV/CVL.

I wouldn't sell sandy short for ASW duty. If you put the hedgehog on sandy and a purple depth charge on somebody else, most reconaissance fleets should be free...

I found perseus to lack the damage required. Best way to clear, especially the green fleets is to stagger your volleys so the planes are never able to spawn. Subs help a lot. If you get mogged on the green fleets you'll be crippled for the rest of the map. Double carrier cats are great if you have that luxury. I've got two great lvl 30 Bishimaru which added lots of damage. One on each fleet. Dont be afraid to slap survivability gear on your backline. It feels a bit scuffed and wrong but it can really help. Especially on your mob fleet. Repajr toolkit effect stacks up. Same for the ASW plane. Great option on light carriers. Three starred it with Bismarck/Unicorn/Volga Brest/Kazagumo/Scylla. Boss fleet was Musashi/York II/Aquila Agir/Helena/Anchorage. Felt kind of copy/paste but it got me Houston II.

I would highly recommend using Independence. She has good surface dps a good buff and her interception is fantastic. Also use a DD gun on Scylla her dmg comes from her all out assault barrage (which activates after 6 shots vs 10 with DD gun) and her How Pathetic skill will stack much much faster with a gun like the 76mm. Also on 15-4 you are better off having your boss fleet fight the boss the first and 3rd time and having your mob fleet take the second, if you feel like u need sustain put in something like Volga, triple CV is perfectly viable for your boss fleet.

i used her in my mob fleet and i can assure you she doesnt have trouble surviving not to mention her dmg is nuts, ran flapjack and wyvern on her. @@Kimocheese

I'm unsure, but any strong ship with 2 fighter slots should be just fine for support fleet.

@@KimocheeseI can answer that. In the support fleet, only the fighters matter. I recommend either two planes in particular, the Flapjack or the Fw 190 (Iron Blood). The Flapjack because they are slower, the Fw 190 because they have 3 guns and have the best AA DPS of all fighters. All other stats are ignored in the support fleet.

This guide was good for 15-1 and 15-2, but my mob fleet was getting slaughtered in 15-3 because enemy subs were just ramming into my backline. Swapped Scylla for Laffey II with the Hedgehog equipped and the difference was night and day. For my boss fleet I used NJ/Implacable/Hakuryuu and swapped Anchorage for Agir. Put Shinano in the air support fleet instead of Implacable. Sub support timing made a big difference as well. Hitting the enemy air support mobs with the subs attack mode, then waiting for the 3rd wave to call in the subs for in-battle support helped the subs not get wiped out. Then call them in when the boss appears in the 2nd and 3rd boss fight. I also prefer your method of facing boss 1 and 2 with the mob fleet. My boss fleet took too much damage fighting boss 1 to safely beat boss 3. With this I was able to play without manual control as well.

2:54 glad u put rikka i didnt have shimanto dev30 yet so i just used kazagumo sandy and rikka and shes actualyl so good, cleared all hard mode 13 and just finished 15-1

Is Anchorage a good tank? The fact is that when playing full auto on 15-4, my boss fleet receives damage in intermediate battles with the boss and when the time comes for the final battle, 2/3 of the vanguard sinks as they are already badly battered.

Why not using the prototype triple 150mm type 5 high-angle gun mount as main weapon on Shimanto? Her 2nd skill gives her AA efficiency a 30% increase with that gun.

You can use the Fw 190 meanwhile. They're cheaper and offers the best DPS for intercepting fighters in your support fleet. You can also use the F4U Corsairs in place of flapjacks.

Evasion will have diminishing returns when facing higher level foes. You should probably be using ASW weapons before prioritizing washing machines. For that matter, Sandy's ASW is higher than you might expect.

Any level is fine, you need an intercepting fighter. The other equipment doesn't matter.

Wyvern's your only choice right now for an intercepting torpedo bomber. The French one Kimocheese is referring to is the Breguet Br.810, but was limited to the Angel of the Iris event, so we're currently locked out of getting more.

I know the torp. It's the 533mm Mark 35. I have 6 of them. They work well, but it's normal torp timing though. You should still have ASW gear.

It's Zuihou, a carrier. As a rule of thumb, almost all CVs and CVLs are medium armor, except for some like Taihou and Illustrious-class. She will have half as much HP in the first battle compared to the second.

No, the damage penalty will be too much. The enemies in W15 are approaching lvl 130.

your mob fleet on lvl 100 will get oneshot by just the mobs alone. Anything below 125 will make the map a lot harder. And its already the hardest content we have.

I did 15-4 with level 115 Shimanto and it was pretty hard but not that bad. Level 100 prob not really possible, but I think having 120 or even 115 ships is maybe possible assuming you have the perfect team comp, play manual and get lucky.
