Combine Retro Sara and Enty for max F You damage. If both of their skills pop, itll clear the whole screen. Best for PvE but I've found it viable in PvP if you got a really good BB for as flagship

You forgot to mention that 3-2 also has the 2nd best non-research/non-event DD Gun (Single 127mm) with almost the same DPS as the Twin 127mm but has more RoF so it's good for barrage focused DDs/CLs that also want good DPS like An Shan Class and Z23. Purple Steam Catapult is the 4th best for CVs, but it's still the most accessible so it's worth farmijg for if you don't have the others(3rd is Purple Aviation Tank, giving the same AVI stats and more, 2nd is the Homie Bacon, decreasing airstrike cooldown by 4% and the best would be Gold Steam Catapult).

The cooldown in Homing Beacon usually won't make any difference. You're going to drop each airstrike 1 or 2 times depending on the stage and the CD on the Beacon isn't big enough to allow you to drop an additional strike. The main usage is if you want to fine tune a specific ship's airstrike to synchronize with another ship's skill, airstrike or barrage (especially on auto mode). Otherwise, the AV tank is still better in general.

As a player with one and a half year experience in game who cleared all chapters, I do not recommend farming maps for gear, because it is pointless. I would just go for waifu and move on. You can get good gear from golden boxes, core data shop and research. The only time you want to farm gear is event limited gear like French Gun. About 12-4 for XP farming I would say it's good if you're missing Choukai. As soon as you get her you can switch do 12-1. It's a lot easier than 12-4 and the difference in XP is minimal (12-4 - 113 lvl mob fleets and 845 base XP, 12-1 - 107 lvl mob fleets and 825 base XP). You can also do 12-2 if you're too lazy to reduce danger level in 12-1 to safe. The rest of the Guide sounds good to me.

It depends really, if the Shipfu you want has abysmal drop chances, you might end up retroactively farming for that nodes gear regardless. When I farmed 3-4 I didn't get the ships, but I did get a ton of repair kits and other nice stuff.

@@mxtung4209 yes, it's RNG in boxes, the RNG grinding stages is honestly worse. I've grinded 7-2 a LOT (most of my Izumo and Neptune grinds were here) and of the 4x gold Twin 113mm AA guns I have, not a single one of them are from 7-2. I've gotten enough blueprints from research for 1 and 3 out of gold boxes. I've gotten a total of 5/15 needed to make one from 7-2 and I am currently sitting at 9/15. I've got about a years worth of play, played most of last year, left January this year and just came back a week ago, and I have 8x gold Barracuda's. You just need to open gold boxes. Watch the shop and buy bundles of gold boxes when they're on sale, also buy them from the event store shops when you can. Concentrate on Royal Navy boxes if you're looking for Barracudas and the Twin 113mm AA, you'll get them. Of course, you'll get a lot more of the purple versions of them than the gold ones, but you will get the gold ones too. I've also gotten a total of 8 gold Seafang fighters between Royal boxes and research, which are basically on par with the F6F Hellcat. Go for Eagle Union boxes if you want the gold Twin 127mm DD gun, the F6F Hellcat, SB2C Helldiver, gold Quad 40mm Bofors and Tripple 406mm MK6 BB gun. Go for Sakura boxes if you need the Tripple 155mm (Belfast gun) and the gold Quad 610mm Torpedo launcher. Focus on Iron Blood boxes if you need the Twin 203mm (Eugen gun) and Twin 105mm AA.

Please, don't tell people to not farm equipment. It's okay if you don't like it, but it's a horribly bad advice to give. I've started the game not long ago, have opened to this point almost like a thousand purple and gold boxes. All they contain is blue DD guns and the occasional trash purple DD gun. If I have followed your advice, I'd LITERALLY have no gear to put on my otherwise T0 and T1 ships I have managed to find in my first 2 weeks of gameplay. I'd have blue airplanes and white main guns on ships like Essex, Kii, London Retrofit, and so on, and so on. I'd be in serious trouble with the current event for example, I couldn't finish T6 with the equipment I got from those boxes. Relying on those dumb boxes is the greatest mistake I can imagine, several times worse than using a Bulin as a vanguard ship. After like 3 weeks I stopped opening those boxes, because they worthless. I no longer feel that I should open them. It's just junk, a literal waste of time clicking them even if you have hundreds of them.

On 7-3 there's also a great ship that can be use on chapter 12, 13 called isuzu. her retrofit is very power at against plans. (if you can't get san diego retrofit. isuzu retrofit is the best option for replace san diego retrofit) btw compare to the difficulty, 11-1 is the great place for farm exp also. 11-1 is kinda same with 10-4, but it give more exp than 10-4. so 7-2 (beginner) and 11-1 are two best place for exp farming.

I really recommend 7-3, cause you can get Isuzu, one of the best AA Light Cruiser(post retrofitted) in the game, she is the IJN of San Diego on a cheaper cost and is only slightly weaker to Sandy and Seattle. I use her at LvL98 in Chapter 12(safe) and she destroy everything herself, leaving Atago and Takao freely rampage the surface fleet. However, if you think farming Choukai is hard, wait till you farm Isuzu. I took me longer, so much longer that I gone numb farming her. Some people are lucky, I am not. After I got my 1st Isuzu, I never touch 7-3 ever again.

Akagi's skill that requires Kaga also works with Kaga BB from Crimson Echoes so if you have her then there's no need to stress out over not being able to get regular Kaga in fox mines

I got crazy lucky with Rng, Kaga dropped on my first try of the Chapter 3 submarine tutorial mission which at that point my account was only 5 days old. Akagi dropped roughly 10-15 rounds later, also from the submarine alert on the same chapter. Thanks for the guide!!!

Fairly concise guide for a newcomer, although I do believe you over-sold how good Akagi and Kaga actually are. While they are perfectly capable carriers for a new player, without Nagato the fox sisters drop sharply in effectiveness later on, primarily because their skills are extremely bad for being gold rarity ships. Hell, this is true for most older Sakura ships. Here's to hoping the hint about possibly improving older ships that was teased about during the anniversary livestream means the two fox sisters will be getting some love.

Best tip with Jintsuu is to clear 10-4 hard ASAP. Because she's a boss node only drop, having the ability to ignore all the mob fleets and challenge the boss three times a day is huge. It's how I got her to drop.

You should use the filter to find ships easier. Regarding 7-2 you should mention that the gold gear is only dropped by the flagship, people might mistakenly leave before the flagship and miss out. You should also mention since you went through each stage when gold boxes start becoming a boss/merchant fleet drop.

Stage 4-3 beside monitors is additionally good as it contains 3 purple blueprints needed for some research gear once player starts investing in it. To a smaller degree stages 7-3 and 6-1. Also missed honorable mention of Houshou from 7-4.

This might be a bad take from me, but I find that farming in AL is either a waste of time, a waste of oil, or both. You want XP? Just use the ships you want to level up. Daily missions, exercises, regular maps, hard maps, event maps, there are plenty of opportunities to level up your ships without resorting to boring farming. Also the passive XP gains are great, use the dorm and the big daily commission to prep your ships enough before using them if you need to. You want research XP for PR ships? Make sure to match the ships you want to level up and the category of ships required for the research XP, and here you go, two birds one stone. You want coins? You'll get plenty enough doing daily stuff and through mission rewards, it really stacks up quickly. You want a ship? Don't farm, just go back to the map regularly, unlock the map in hard mode, try raking up XP for your ships and for the research at the same time, three birds one stone. You want gear? Keep playing diligently, and you'll get it.

W13-4 farming is not practical for me outside of using very specific fleets. So yeah, if you want exp just stick with 12-4. It may be a bit weird due to the focus on airplanes after W11 asked you to focus on other things, however. If you're not in a hurry to get PR units, I'd recommend just doing 7-2 because of purple plates.

I kid you not, I've been farming 3-4 for a straight week, at least 9-10 hours per day and I still haven't gotten either Fox sister. I'm at my wits end, I've been getting some XP and Repair kits at least and some enhancement ships for my fleet, but god damn is it soul crushing seeing all that oil and time I've spent on getting these 2 ships.

You can farm 7-2 super easily with even just Cassin/Downes as vanguard. Phoenix should be fine with any barrage BB like the new Tosa or Amagi.

In every scenario excluding the 7-2 farm, the most effective farming strategy is to finish the stage (by defeating the boss node). This is because there are many good drops such as gold equipment blueprints and rare ships that are sometimes only able to be dropped from the boss. Now for 7-2 the most effective farming strategy is to clear 3 mob fleets in order to spawn all four of the mystery nodes. Once you collect those four nodes for the chance to get extra gold, it is best to retreat and repeat the process. This will maximize the amount of gold for the amount of oil you are spending.

I burnt myself out back during the fox mines, still haven't gotten Akagi, and haven't really been able to catch up each time I came back. I feel lost every time I come back, and while I have quite a few high leveled shipfus, I have next to no idea who to use for any fleet. This is a really helpful video, but I was wondering if it'd be possible to elaborate further. Surely it depends on how much time is gonna cost you making an expansion of this video, but here's the thing: so like, in my case, I find myself in a good spot in terms of battleships thanks to Richelieu and Tosa carrying me, and Monarch working her way up there as well. Problem is, let's leave aside tier lists, I'm generally kinda lost about other ships. Surely, you'd want Aircraft Carriers for that air superiority, but it tends to become oil expensive if you have to compensate weak gear with more ships, so I personally tend to not use any even if leavign Essex, Centaur, and Saratoga out makes me cry inside. I'm in a terrible spot for Heavy Cruisers as well, and I have way too many good Light Cruisers and Destroyers (and legit no decent Submarine). I also don't have a single Gold AA gun, nor I have the recommended purple one (believe it or not, but at least I'm 12/15 for the gold one in 5-4). So, TL;DR for someone like me stuck in 7-2 and mostly unable to do Hard modes, what would be the ideal kind of ships (not talking about specific characters, but the general kind) to have a good balance between oil efficiency and good DPS? Also, as your leveling through story (let's assume just story for simplicity) what should you look for to gear these ships? Like, considering I'd like to retrofit Ayanami, I'd farm 6-4 as I level her, 2 birds with 1 stone. Kind of a long and convoluted explanation, but that would be cool to see. I'm legit bouncing around between making San Diego and Helena retrofits, switching to Ayanami because she's also crazy good, farm gear here and there because why not, but I also need to focus on AA as my stuff is terrible. So yeah, kinda lost and doing this inefficiently, I'm actually getting nothing out of it, if not levels.
