Nice white 1st genner!!!

Thank you for the review. It reinforced my decision to NOT buy the rack haha despite how nice it and low it looks on your 1st gen. I can't justify the ridiculous price, on top of drilling 10 holes into my cab! Gonna have to get creative with the welder it looks like for me

It’s not for everyone! I appreciate you checking out the video! If you have time to check out how overlandunderbudget did his roof rack on his first gen. May give you some ideas

How did you get those handle bars on the rack? What are you using for them?

I’ll be installing this on my 1st gen also. Love the truck🤙🏽

I love it but I’m just worried about drilling into my cab. Mine is mint like yours and I hate the thought of drilling into it. 😅

It’s definitely scary! I haven’t had any issues though and I do love having the storage abilities up there

Awesome video, where did you buy your wind fairing decal from?
@trdtimmy Жыл бұрын
A local print shop made it for me

If you are going to drill holes into the roof why not just weld mounting plates on top of the roof for the rack to mount on to? Seems more sturdy and more durable plus eliminates possibilities of future water leaks.

It’s a fairly new channel! I am planning on keeping videos rolling!

I have Yakima racks and like that because I can make adjustments and change the configuration to meet the needs of what I'm carrying with baskets, space savers or bike racks -2 bars over cab and 2 over camper shell. But I gotta say, this looks really good. Appreciate the detailed review. Definitely something to consider if I decide to make a change. One thing I'd like to hear your experience with is long term, or high mileage, maintenance work. I have 02' with 220k miles and starting to look for preventative work to do like changing U joints, carrier barring, transmission mount bushing, etc. Have you had insightful experiences with that kind of stuff?
@PressStart-PST11 ай бұрын
I just bought the Yakima racks but only the mounts. I’m gonna buy tubing that fits the mounts and weld them to a roof rack like the one in the video so I don’t have to drill in the roof. I hate the idea of drilling into my truck in general.

I’m currently installing my prinsu roof rack on my 1st gen. I’m just don’t know what the metal spacer is for? The kit only came with 2 metal spacers.
@trdtimmy Жыл бұрын
That metal spacer is what you use to get the plusnuts to install in to the holes you drill in the roof. The one you hold with the wrenches and tighten down
@WisdomInTheWoods Жыл бұрын
With the screws in place can you tell me how far the come down inside the cab?
@trdtimmy Жыл бұрын
You don’t see them because they are hidden by the headliner
@WisdomInTheWoods Жыл бұрын
@trdtimmy but if you rolled it could be buried in your head? Which is why I asked how far?
@trdtimmy Жыл бұрын
Without dropping the headliner to get an exact I would estimate between 1/4 in. The nuts you install in the roof aren’t very big

Hello, I'm from Poland I need help how to activate the front differential lock in Toyota Tacoma 2004. When it comes to that, there is a button on the cockpit of Dif Lock, but when it comes to the front-wheel drive, I have no idea how it starts
@SurfSCRasta2 жыл бұрын
That button is for the rear differential locker.
