It covered some of examples of what gear to bring with you when heading into the deep woods to harvest, and how to get your harvest back out, along with yourself. You may not be telling us what to do but you should. That is a dialed set up. Spartan. I need to step my game up.

Excellent detail and planning. I could use some of these methods when prospecting for gold and future prospecting for mushrooms.

Hey I'm a part-time commercial picker in the states just wondering if you guys ever have a problem selling your dried because of all the Chinese dried morels in 2019 my buyer couldn't buy my morels in August or September because of all the Chinese dried I sold them to that buyer but like 4 months later wondering your thoughts on the Chinese Morel cultivation and subsequent worldwide competition

Yes, planning to have one on building a dryer soon (there’s many viable ways of building one.) Separate from that we will eventually have a video on the actual methods and science we use while drying.

@@northernwildharvest that would be awesome we have nothing like that in Michigan... We tried using reg dehydrator just didn't seem good on the morels.. our hobby growing into a business very high demand talking 80.00 lb retail 30.00 to 40.00 wholesale buyers looking for hundreds of pounds..

And also what us that extension on the bucket? That red pull strap? Really smart
@northernwildharvest
@northernwildharvest 7 күн бұрын
Yeah the bucket extender really helps, especially during rain or when you’re full and have to go over rough terrain. Most of the serious commercial pickers would use them during the 1980’s matsutake boom because #1 pine mushrooms were extremely valuable, a stick poking the veil and down graded a button was a serious money loss.

Yes i would love to know where to get baskets. Here in the midwest i can't find them an i been looking for 10 years.

We have to order them by the container and it costs a substantial amount of money. Currently we don’t need an order but next time we make one we will have a surplus of baskets and i’ll make a community post about it.
