yeahhh I'm def too broke for audiophile headphones, my standards of quality are "not bluetooth only" and "doesnt give me a headache" if i wanted upgrades to my sound system, my first step is probably upgrading from an ipod mini-

I've got this bad boy and i owned previously more than 20 headphone , earphone. sound quality of focal exactly you said very neutral clean and vocal FW, not for bass heads . more like for audiophiles. its not for everyone basically. however, I've an question for you. i stream music Apple Music and i tried DAC moe with USBC cable with 24bit. and then BT connected i havent noticed any difference what am i doing wrong? plus also i tried 3.5mm jack this is letting sound play only when BT mode :D so weird i didnt understand it. its analog output but not working when DAC Mode. anyway. overall im very satisfied with quality but DAC thing is marketing :D definitely

Thank you for your question! It’s great to hear you’re enjoying the Focal Bathys. Regarding your experience with DAC mode and streaming from Apple Music, here are a few points to consider: Usually the DAC Mode against Bluetooth differences are noticeable because of the higher bit rate although it really depends on your personal hearing development The USB-C connection in DAC mode mean the headphones are bypassing the Bluetooth chip which typically means you should notice a difference in sound quality due to the higher bit depth and sample rates. However, the perceived difference can depend on the source material itself and how well it was recorded. Some listeners may not notice a drastic change if they’re used to high-quality Bluetooth streaming, especially since you told me you had 20 headphones in the past! Streaming via Bluetooth can introduce compression artifacts, so if the same track is played in both DAC mode and Bluetooth mode, you might not perceive a significant difference if the Bluetooth codec in use (like AAC or SBC) is limiting the sound quality. The issue with the 3.5mm jack only working in Bluetooth mode could be due to how the Bathys handles connections. In DAC mode, the headphone likely expects a digital signal via USB-C, and the analog output through the 3.5mm jack might only activate in Bluetooth mode as the headphones switch to a different operational mode, even when using the 3.5 mm jack the headphones need power because it still runs the audio trough it's own dsp or digital audio processing and the anc and equalization features Many brands do promote DAC features as a way to enhance audio quality, and while some users might find significant benefits, it can indeed feel less impactful for others, especially if they don’t have high-resolution tracks to test it out. If you’re looking for a noticeable difference, I recommend trying high-resolution files specifically designed for testing audio equipment. That's why tidal is usually the go to streaming services for hi res audio files, and using a better usb-c cable from the likes of audioquest and using a separate dac or dap drastically increases the soundstage and overall imersiveness of the aluminium/magnesium drivers! Overall, the Bathys are still a fantastic choice for neutral, clean sound, especially for audiophiles! Hopefully this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to reply to this comment!

Are these better than the Mark Levinson.5909 Bluetooth headphones 🎧?
@apophistechandreviews2740Ай бұрын
They are very different headphones, Mark Levinson is owned by the harman & kardon group and focuses more on rich and clean base respons while still keeping those warm mids (vocals) So what does that mean? A punchy but impressive base respons where you can hear the different layers of vibration in the lower frequencies onto of each other and vocals are also distinguishable from one another While focal focuses on more natural sound: clean mids, beautiful highs and decent base all in harmony with each other With the bathys you can also differentiate the different layers of a song just like the mark levinson but will sound less warm Focal focuses more on audio accuracy instead of audio warmth and you can definitely hear that in the bathys Both are excellent competitors, it really depends on what you want to use them for For me I use them for content creation and music production so for me the bathys are the better option If you want to just listen to music, the mark levinson will be more to your style Thanks for watching 💖
