My sns is not drying good even after waiting 5 minutes, and when i file big chunks of product comes off as its still wet, what do i do?
@neex3love568 Жыл бұрын
When you put the sealer you have to wait atleast 2 minutes to dry before buffing or filing. When you done put the sealer again, wait 2 minutes than top coat. First top coat you have to polish quick without going over the same spot again. Than second coat you can evenly polish it slowly. Than wait 2 minutes to dry

I tried this and my nails look a mess! I’m pretty anal about my work and no matter what I did, it seems a step is missing. The gel isn’t drying properly and no I am not applying a lot. The final shine isn’t even there. I even tried applying actual clear gel polish and curing under UV light and it was even worse. What am I doing wrong? 😩

@@SNSNailsOfficial I figured it out. I didn’t know there was a difference with curing under a UV or LED lamp. I have a UV and that apparently takes longer to cure. Also didn’t know gel polish would still be “tacky” until top coat app & longer curing time. Now my nails finally look like the shop did them. I’m happy!!!

You just gotta let it naturally air dry and do two coats.

@@chooniex I figured it out. I needed to wait before dusting the powder off to allow it to solidify before. Then dust off and apply second coat and do the same. I was dusting powder off immediately after I dip. 🥴

How do you prevent your brushes from hardening? I use a brush and remove all the loose powder before I go onto the next layer.
@rachelcontreraz6367 Жыл бұрын
A little late for a response on this to help you but … in addition to brushing off the extra powder, after you coat each mail with the base, wipe the excess liquid of the brush before putting it back in to bottle. A few Back and forths on a paper towel will due. Also, after the completion of each set, I clean the brush with the brush saver solution. Just wipe off the excess base, close your base brush on you brush saver bottle and give it a few swishes, shakes, whatever. Then remove it, wipe off any excess and back in the base bottle. 😆💅🏻

@@SNSNailsOfficial The removal takes me 15-30 minutes with pure acetone soaking on my nails. That is hardly safe nor healthy and very time consuming. Especially dangerous because you are not suppose to breath in the vapors. SDS for acetone is to use outside in ventilated area and wear a respirator, which I do. SO please explain how I can remove this in 5 minutes and safely?

Uhh, how is this different from the acrylic nails we all got in the 90’s until we were sold on gel because it was “healthier” for our nails. Come on now.
@sophies.3634 жыл бұрын
Probably because of the removal of gel nail nails and the fact that you have to put them under a uv light isn't very good(aging your hands).
@courtneyfox24972 жыл бұрын
It's different compound I had acrylics many time and I would never go back after getting SNS , so much lighter on the fingers , note flexible but just as strong. Acrylic is like having little bricks on your finger tips and so much healthier for the nails too.
@praisethemosthigh13162 жыл бұрын
@@courtneyfox2497 True. However, "acrylic" and dip are the same thing. They are both called polymer powders that respond to a chemical reaction of polymerization turning them into acrylic/ plastic. "Dip powder" is just a finer grit than the typical powder used with a monomer; therefore, dip powder can be used with monomer as well just under different pearl ratios in comparison to the standard polymer powder. Which explains why they are just as hard as "acrylic." So basically what I'm trying to explain is dip is another form of acrylic without the use of monomer. Hope this helps. 🤗💅🏾🥂

if this is the proper way to apply sns dip, then why do many nail technicians use a UV light?
@vanessagutierrez424 жыл бұрын
For SNS nails there's no UV light needed...this is why it's healthier & why I'm def going to try.
@loucorda32493 жыл бұрын
Because you can ask to have a gel top coat that will add much more shine than regular dipping top coats, and that gel top coat requires to be cured under a LED/UV light.
