That’s a great question. No you can’t reset it yourself, but it should only take a moment for the service centre to rectify.

Thanks for the heads up on the rubber cases for the display and also for the micro USB socket! Hiw lobg have I had that and not tried charging the little lithium cell a bit? Clock losing time? I recharged the head unit for an hour and it was vrighter and didn't lose time. I haven't got a walk assist on mine though. Cobgrats in a comprehensive review if ALL the facilities of this great display. Well done👍😃

Thanks for the info! Bit of a specific question from me: can I change the version of the system from Euro to North American? The - button on the control unit is broken so the bike is stuck on a high setting. In the US version, I read that the bike resets to 0 assistance after every shutoff, so I can bypass the - button!

No problem. As I understand it you can’t change the versions from Euro to American without explicit permissions from the manufacturer of the ebike. They have ultimate responsibility for the product software parameters. I hope this helps.

Where can I buy diagnostic equipment and software?

You cannot buy the diagnostic tool as it is only available to bike dealers and repair centres that have taken the training modules. There are thousands of stores trained to look after you with the diagnostic system’s internationally.

Does removing the head unit from the bike immobilise the motor? I.e. effectively make the bike useless as an e-bike unless the same head unit is put back onto the bike?

Thank you for your message. This head unit does not act as an immobiliser, but the Kiox and Nyon displays (upgrades to this system) can be retrofitted to this ebike and for a one off princely sum of £9.99 can be used as an ‘immobiliser’ for the ebike. Although you can still pedal the bike, just not with any assistance from the motor. I hope this helps. :)

How often do they need servicing and how much does a service cost

eBike servicing depends on use. We give our customers two years aftercare servicing free with all new bikes sold. Just pay book and lube and parts where needed. That is up to 3 services a year for two years. We also offer a method of extending it to 3 years at point of purchase. Also once an ebike has been serviced by us subsequent services at our store are discounted outside of the aftercare free servicing. Call into our store for more details. :)

Haibike are a top quality eBike brand. Design and Build is market leading and they have a great design team. Raleigh, Haibike and Lapierre are all made by the Accell Group. A huge and brilliant eBike manufacturer from the Netherlands. They produce high end machines that are designed in their respective countries and then produced at Accell Group factory. Hungary I believe. :)

No you cannot update the software yourself, but there are thousands of dealers internationally that are trained to help with updates on them.
