not playing old man is a crazy take. but saying that branded fusion won't get u to cards is so wrong. branded dumps trias, lo, saffira even rituals sometimes to trigger trap. it lets you play through handtraps like droll baits out ash and forces cards like imperm veiler. the MJ or Dracostapelia on end board is just a bonus. going forward in a heavy droll format I would cut cards like preprep and. play cards like Brafu to counter that.

Im definitely gonna try this build out, I already play 45, so I can fit nadir engine plus old man. The old man take is probably the most controversial. In a 40 card list I can see it being a brick but nadir being a spell also makes it live more often. For the side deck id recommend cutting called by for TCOBO. Maybe its just me and my player skill, but when I get to a game 3 going 1st, I always just wish I have more cards that tell my opponent no, because SG plus floodgates is just impossible to get over. Especially since your build can play going 2nd better with Nadir I think you have more leway to build the side for going 1st.

I stopped playing this Nadir build solely because of Droll and Lock Bird. I didn't get droll'd all the time, but I figure if some people are maining or siding it, I am better off not putting it in And when I did get droll'd, it just felt so bad because I'd opened up well until it happened, which made more cards dead and inactive bc essentially I was being greedy. I don't think you can say that this is the only way to play with Voiceless. Yes I see your points with consistency but the chokepoint on the constant searches and draw is very huge. Also, if you open the handtrap only and Almiraj line with Maximus, then shifter is DEFINITELY something that will cripple you. Through a Draw Phase shifter, Branded Fusion+ Blessings is Lo on field with trap in your backrow, with a myriad of ways of having a Ritual Spell or Mons through Preprep, pot of prosp, etc. I honestly think there are so many ways to play this deck. I've played it with the 20 handtraps, I've played it with zero hand traps, with old man, without old man, 3 pre prep, 0 preprep, no diviner, diviner, branded, non-branded, fenrir, pot of prosp, etc. There's not a build that is superior to the other. There are some builds I personally wouldn't pilot, but it's not to say they're bad, they just don't fit my playstyle and experiences with the deck. I think it's more or less like Yubel where you want to go first and so you build it to where it won't brick, but since there are so many handtraps, if you're opponent bricks, then you might too. I play VV currently, both with Branded Fusion with the option of siding them out G2 and G3, and the same with the diviner package. It does help me and if I side the package out I usually go with Fenrir or Evenly/ Dark Ruler or impactful handtraps or floodgates, which works for me. Congrats on winning with the deck. I really think this deck would be tier 1 if it was a touch more degenerate like Snake Eyes is.

The reason I had said it’s the only way to play the deck is because it then makes it so u don’t need to play tiger backrow removal and more importantly draws handtraps bc that is what u need to support your board with. And yes I agree once snake dies this is insane but it is already so good too

I love playing voiceless Ive been going back in forth with changing things about this deck but with how I’ve been changing it I find myself making my deck stronger on certain decks and then weaker on other im definitely gonna give think deck list a try and see how I feel. What are your thoughts about siding like dark ruler no more and i would love to see a video were you go over plays using the extra deck and showing what you are side decking switching out going game 2 or 3 and then what decks you would do that on. Right now im playing voiceless with branded jowgen lock and 12 hand traps but i have a hard time playing yubel going 2nd and snake eyes going 2nd and runick going 2nd. I recently topped a case tournament. I put in the Nadir package last minute and it was the best decision. I feel is the best way to play the deck now I never thought about removing the old man, because in theory is a good card. I will follow your advice. How do you recycle your ritual spell without old man? Plus old man summoning dustbins with blessing so you can double Sauravis is broken. It’s only one card isn’t a brick and a free extender/body at worst. Can’t agree with you on that

I don’t play double sauravis because it’s super unnecessary. See I have played old man but you have likely not ever even tried without it. The card is horrific at best and I will never again play that card as long as I play this deck. Also u recycle the ritual spell by shuffling back with the trap and adding it back off blessings if u need to also trap can summon saffira from deck link off and use from grave to ritual. If you know what your doing and play without old man you will never miss it I promise, give it a try

This video is really great, just started looking into the deck, it's great to have an argument for each card. Would you run 3 crossout and 1 d barrier for nationals though? I have seen a lot of people using it and although this deck does have options (S:P and even chaos angel in some lists) I feel calling ritual still hurts the deck. Hope you make a combo video in depth sometime to play around handtraps and optimize card usage

I def will make a combo video and I would not play crossout barrier bc I can stop my opponent with handtraps and if I get barriered I just activate barrier with lo Search blessings and summon on my opps turn using lo for skull and set trap so u still end with both spells the trap and lo skull guardian thru barrier

@@prophecywiz Have you tried it in depth? Of course you cant play herald anymore, but everything else works very well and the newer drytrons except nu2 all synergize extremly well with voiceless. Its not as bad as you think. You basically can make a free apollousa with 2400 atk on top of your normal board while also being able to bait the oppenent even more. The deck is full of very unique interactions and plays. For example: I played through a full fireking/snake-eyes deck (going second) and baited every single interaction with the drytrons just to end on Zeus, wipe their board, use meteonis drytron to summon Guardian with Zeus as tribute and from there just go full combo with Voiceless Voice.

So your build is definitely solid and i agree woth a lot, except with the old man logic. I get that its a brick but its a brick that's needed in my opinion, if you get shiftered and you have LO, you can go thr trap line, special old man and play in your opponent turn for free even under shifter. So how are you playing under shifter without old man, just fold? Also it worls great with the apolusa line, but i see you dont play apolo while playing I.P Masq, which seems incorrect in my opinion. Solid build and a different take for sure.

Definatly don’t fold, most hands still set up lo guardian barrier trap and handtraps. Old man is not necessary he is just super bad imo I highly suggest playing for a week without him before thinking u need him because u will see that you don’t and u brick less

@@prophecywiz Yeah truth about the brick and larger engine but if u want to cut the brick but im dissagre about the backrow at the moments its not backrow meta and in the second game you always can cut the engine and add more handtrap/backrow stuff (currently im playing with that 44 cards and cutting the engine going second for 2nd or third game)

That’s a you thing tho not the deck or the theory. I have multiple ycs tops and have beaten Jesse kotton andres Torres Paulo gozavas christian urena Jeff Jones and countless more. I don’t play or build like and combos to beat scrubs everything I do and play I plan to beat the absolute best with every time
