I’d like to see how this car does in VTA or a spec class

When I built mine, I found that the kit came with mostly bearings but bushings for the drive shafts and steering arms. I ordered some 850 bearings and 2 small 630 bearings to make my car all bearings. And I noticed about the full size servo right off. Hope you find the ESC to fit lol.

Nice build Derek. Tamiya had better be careful, Traxxas might sue them over the cantilever shocks they use, lol

With all the great reviews I hate to be a downer. I open the screw part bags as needed. Opening all parts bags and getting all the screws mixed up together... I think is a bad Idea. It takes no extra time to open the next parts bag in order. If you are just starting in Tamiya RC It's important to follow the directions. As to say: Sooner or Later You HAVE to fix it. Knowing what goes where always helps and in the order which to RE assemble. ;)

I rarely criticise but man do you moan 😂😂😂 it’s definitely an infuriating kit, considering the price it’s lacking the spec I would expect turnbuckles and ball races for the steering and it’s not too friendly for trackside maintenance even camber adjustment is a major undertaking instead of a minor tweak. Still love it though... btw the screws are jis get a proper screw driver and there’s no issue if you use Philips you’ll chew them all the time... great Video 👍

@@Freddie44utube I love Tamiya. But people give the building experience too much credit. Thanks for watching.

RC Masked Master imovie seems to do that in the conversion sometimes. Can’t seem to figure out why.

vrcmag that’s weird. I will look into it tomorrow and see if we can fix it.

I'm in the middle of my first Tamiya kit build -- do you find yourself using a PH3 or PH2 screwdriver for most of those crappy Philips screws?
@helifan23464 жыл бұрын
Don’t use regular Philips head screwdriver in Tamiya or, I would say, in any kit, use instead JIS screwdriver or JIS tips, not cheap but they get the job done. Japanese industry standard, google it

I've built mine with exclusively PH2 for all screws, except for diff housing and rocker arm mounts, where I've used JIS1 or PH1 depending on which one I'd grab first from my ifixit kit. I'd also say that compared to hex screws used by Traxxas and HPI these are miles better, if I'd ever upgrade stock screws, I'd be going for Torx.
