I just watched this again ( I was at Madison Square Garden watching Billy Joel's Birthday concert (which was unbelievably fantastic) the first time I listened) and there are so many great things about this video. NEAR the Top of the list - fantastic guitar playing and a heavenly voice. Loved the wind blow curtain in the background - gave it sense that there were unseen forces listening as well. Loved your smile at 1:43 - it said you knew you nailed that run. at 2:06 when you started with the ooooh ooo oh oooh's it was easy to see how into this song you were. But for me the best wa the last 40 secs or so... Omg the voice and the guitar became one..... and that smile at end - Holy Shit Kelli when you smile so - beautiful. I was coming home to day and heard Stevie Nicks sing Landslide... and I aid to myself - I'd love to here Kelli do that ! anyways - superb performance - even better the more I listened.. I just listened to the Sierra Ferrel version - you kicked its ass girl ! The only words that aptly describe this --- it was absolutely righteous !! Good luck in the new digs!! Jim

Thank you so much! I love this story. I’m sorry for the late reply- this is one of those comments that I want to wait and come back to so I could think about it more before replying. I have wanted to cover this song for awhile and finally thought I would try to figure it out a couple of months ago. I had surgery on my left wrist last August and have some difficulty still- mostly with bar chords, and especially when the guitar is not capoed. I think because of that back- step, I started to steer away from anything challenging. Being able to get this down fairly quickly was refreshing. The challenge of it is also what made it so fun :) Your message made me realize, and think more about the way we see ourselves and how we hold a magnifying glass to our flaws- is not what other people see. You saw that I was smiling because I had nailed it, when I really was smiling because I was pressing too hard which makes my strings buzz. I was sure that was what everyone would be thinking about. I thought I was messing up. Now I am trying to make a shift in my way of thinking too. So, thank you for giving me that. x
