Occitan was a language derived from vulgar Latin, as French, Spanish, Italian or Catalan :) "Poc Vecem" means something close to "It might be that we see": Deduced by context in: "Poc vecem que l'ivern s'irais" as "It might be seen that the winter is coming". That I think is what he is saying in the firsts verses of the song. I am not an Occitan speaker, but I'm a native Catalan, from the north, the region that borders with the region where Occitan is and/or was spoken. They belong to the same sub-family of languages (Occitano-Romance languages), so they have things in common. PS: If you are curious, in modern Catalan it would be: "Podem veure que l'hivern s'acosta". I suppose that in older versions of Catalan their similarity would be grater. PS.2: In Catalonia, nowadays, there is a small valley where there are modern dialects of Occitan (Occità-Aranès or Aranès). The text would be written as: " Pòdi veire que l'ivèrn se sarra"
