magnificent, in one word! good to hear & watch piano covers of death metal songs. many do it for more common metal material (metallica, maiden, etc.) but death metal covers more meaningful. double check the harmony and melody from 1:43 especially.

couldn't disagree more. Both different genres, so why make connections when there aren't that much ? Different composition style, use of harmony and so on. Some Metal has neoclassical influences, however most has not, because Metal is more Rhythm oriented in most cases. And I also doubt Beethoven would playing metal today, yet alone enjoy it. This sounds more like pop than classic anyway. But I agree that some Metal Songs, especially Melo Death like here, do incredible well on piano.
