I did not get into this group until soundtrack to your escape came out, but I have really started to appreciate more. They are heavier side and really think they do so well when they go heavy and just go all in. I can definitely appreciate the melodic aspects of this group, how they are one of the innovators of Swedish death metal, but at the same token, I have to agree with what was said that the last two records battles, and I the mask Just showed more melodic tones to it, but still they were good albums, but I think this one is going to be one of their best, and from what I’ve heard so far, especially this song, I think we’re going to get a killer in flames album when it comes out. I’m actually pretty stoked to hear the rest of it, because as far as In Flames, go, still a multitude of talent in that band and they are still going strong! Killer review guys and definitely love seeing you jam out as you listen and get lost in the song. I think that’s the important thing with good music when you hear stuff that you like that gets to you, you just don’t care about the rest you just get into that song and feel it. Rock on brothers.🤘

Nice heavy stuff, although it felt a little more generic than the rest of the releases, Foregone part 2 hit different for me, really enjoyed that one, maybe im being extra critical cause In Flames are one of my all time favourite bands with their early releases, but it is shaping up to be great again, although the lyrical content doesn't feel as clever as it once was, very straight to the point which isn't a bad thing, but in the past the lyrics were more mystical, it wasn't easy to understand the first time you listened to them, like the song Jester Script Transfigured which is probably my favourite song from them. I digress. Really excited for the rest of the songs coming out and being able to listen to all of them in album order!

Blast beats were fucking incredible here. I agree the chorus seemed a bit soft if I'm to nit pick, but overall a very good song.

Massive In Flames fan here. I like this one the least out of the tracks from the new album so far. The chorus was a bit meh. The rest of the track was pretty cool. I thought the first four songs before this one were all killer.

Agreed. I am huge fan of In Flames and Anders (when he screams and growls) but he couldn't do cleans even during his prime which was long time ago (but he did really good clean screams), he can't do them now and he will never be able to do them. Thankfully in live shows cleans are in the background and he screams and growls over them so songs are better live than studio versions. Saw them a month ago and they kicked ass. I'll never understand why they went down the clean vocals route during last decade cause he can't sing them. What is the point? And they, for me, mostly ruin the songs.

@@christophersanzo1833 It is not matter of being on any side. Only thing I love more than In Flames are probably my dogs. Being critical is necessary. Being blind fan (not saying you are, just a constatation) is the worst option for band quality and progression. Taste definitely plays into it but point is they are creating vocals main singer can't perform. Metal is all about live performance so what is the point of adding such autotune cleans when he is gonna sing them in screams and growls live anyway? Doesn't make sense.
