unleash the archers has been writing power metal bangers for 10 years. many of their heightened songs are distinct, and have kept us coming back for more. Ghost in the Mist, is a departure from the blasting beats, blistering leads and flighty vocals of Brittany. Bands do progress, change, and recalibrate, in order to stay relevant, and to survive in said genre. this is a recalibration, but within their beloved genre, and should be looked at as a way for them to remain relevant. for instance, how many cannibal corpse albums have come out over the past 25 years that sound exactly the same? yes, the base will always buy their albums for a time, but by album 15, nobody is buying, no new people are listening, and they end up being a circus side show for newer, more extreme and progressive death metal bands over the years. cannibal corpse ends up opening for xyz. Unleash the archers are trying to remain relevant, and stay ahead of being backstaged, and this is how they are doing it. this song is absolutely incredible, and for those who cling to the edifice of a decadent past, well, its just time to look toward the future.

This 200 Stab Wounds album is incredible. The last album was great, but they refined their songwriting and added more dynamic elements to their repertoire. They added a lot more thrash to this album. Flesh From Within is damn near a straight up thrash song. Parricide also has sections that remind me of Slayer. Everything sounds more cohesive and better thought out. It also has a little bit for everyone with death, thrash, groove, and hardcore elements permeating throughout the track list.

This album changed my life. I love every song on this album tho. I don’t feel it has a weak one. They all tie in perfectly. Man, this is one of the greatest albums of all time. Barely giving it a toe tag is just disrespectful.

I think in order to truly enjoy Akercocke records you have to be in the mood for them. I love them, but to put them on at any time of the day, or whatever mood you're in, won't do you any favours or the band any justice. Does that make sense?

In the style of Cannibal Corpse with the violent lyrics,and groove. The only thing I didn't like about this song,it was too short. I really like their sound.

“Grime” is probably heavier than any other song. A few cleans doesn’t make it less metal.

Tattered and torn definitely feels like an intermission!

“Wound”, “Grime”, & “I Still Wear This Crown” are absolutely great tracks. “One Foot in the Grave” wasn’t them being safe, it was them showcasing their different influences and skills. It’s still a metal song with an anthemic chorus. It is SOOO CATCHY! Each song has it’s own identity and that to me is better than everything sounding the same.

So the messages are real gobby was like a little teaser/Easter egg for the band
