A win is a win a guess, lowest turn out in the history with labour voters voting away from them.. 1997 30000 votes turnout 51000 2001 21000 votes, turnout 39000 2005 19000 votes, turnout 38000 2010 14000 votes, turnout 35000 2015 13000 votes, turnout 32000 2017 17000 votes, turnout 35000 2019 12000 votes, turnout 32000 2024 11000 votes, turnout 18000

With all these local wins. Couldn't Labour rip-up all Tory Local Council Policies where sub-contractors have to do all the work: This would save cities like Birmingham from going bust?

from what I've learned, a lot of local funding is actually distributed by Westminster, so local rulemaking would help a little but wouldn't move the needle much. What would truly help is an end to austerity and proper funding for these cities and their services, or a change to tax structure to allow cities more control of their revenue stream

It depends of which Labour Party the answer was YES under Corbyn we had plans to bring it all (Railway, Water, Nhs, Gas, Electric most of which is being subsidised by the public while sill paying their shareholders out!) back under public ownership and remove private skimmers and that is why all media went after Corbyn even making lies up about him hence we now have this oxymoronic Sir member of the Trilateral Committee who confuses socialism & dictatorship, throwing members & MPs out of the LP who tried to stand up against him!
