As a German who draws all his knowlwdge of the swedish language from swedish to english translations of various Sabaton songs, I'm guessing that this translates into "Europe Mastership". Because I recognize some bits and bobs and thats what the german translation boils down to. Also it would be really funny if every language called it their version of "Europe mastership" and then the British dropped the balls because they were just really lax about it but their language turned out to be the lingua franca.

It's impossible to call it "Eurocup" in Europa as there is already an annual soccer competition of the UEFA Europa League where the best European soccer clubs compete against each other, not to confuse with the UEFA Champions League, another competition of European soccer clubs. Asking about the author of the text of our national anthem makes sense to me because it is an older text preceding even the Weimar Republik. He was born in 1798 and died in 1874. Due to his liberal positions and advocating for German unification he lost his position as professor of German in Prussia and was persecuted for his political positions.
@Cairol584 ай бұрын
That's true! However, he was also rehabilitated a few years later in his life..August Heinrich Hoffmann died in 1874 at the age of 75 in Corvey near Höxter after a stroke. He was buried in the presence of hundreds of mourners next to his wife in the small cemetery next to the former Corvey abbey church.

Das "Akademische Viertel" (the academic quarte hour.) On universities in ancient times, it was not possible to tell the exact time, so the use the full and half hours from the church bell to set the time table. When ever an additional break was required one quarter of an hour was added. In the time table it still was registered at the full hour, marked as "s.t." (sin tempore) if starting exactly and c.t. (cum tempore) if students should come late (at quarter past). To all the others this resulted in: Well, the academics, they are always late by some minutes... (At least, thats what got stuck about this saying in my lousy braun.) I am more the a bit late type of guy.
