I grew up on Rap music and Country with Rock as my adult tunes. Started disliking rap but when I was introduced to Adam Calhouns and Tom MacDonalds music I found a new spark in rap again. My brother was in the Marines and served in Vietnam , when he came home was never the same person.sad to say he killed his best friend and his self on Veterans day.I was in ROTC for the air force went in on the buddy plan because I wanted to hold the tradition and make my father proud did my time and got out as quick as I could...lol...I too listened to the song and loved it! This song makes me sad. It says exactly how I feel. I’m a small town girl in the South and I’ve never been rich (except for in love) but not in a monetary way. I have never intentionally hurt anyone and I’ve certainly not oppressed anyone. I’ve always treated people with kindness and I’ve always tried to help my neighbors or anyone who needed help but I feel like everyone hates us because they tell us that constantly on social media. My dad was a Vietnam Vet and he taught his children to love and respect America. He even taught us to respect the President even if we didn’t like the President you respect the office.
