In Hospital After Lung Ablation *Cancer Journey 2025*

Hi. I was diagnosed with stage 3 grade 3 ovarian cancer in 2015. It was a very aggressive cancer. After a total hysterectomy and taking out a 10 centimeter tumor, I opted for the chemo. The reason being, after going home from the hospital, having my first CT scan a few weeks after the surgery, a lymph node they saw was questionable, so they did a biopsy and it was cancer in my lymph node. That's when I decided to do the chemo, from April to May, I was on chemo, lost my hair, but really had no nausea or problems eating. But....everyone is different and every cancer is different, and you and how you respond to the treatment. My faith in God helped me through and it is now 2025 and I've had no relapses. Thankful for each day and grateful to God that I'm still here. Having your faith and a good support system is half the battle. You have both! Of course the unknown can make you feel uneasy. But I assure you that God will be there with you in the midst of it, whatever you choose. ❤❤God bless you on your journey and I will keep you in my prayers.🙏

@@jeanwallace2822 You never get put out for a CT scan of any kind, the reason she did is because she had an ablation which is guided by the CT scanner. No way would you want to be awake for that procedure.

I am just like you Tiffany, my treat to myself would be a new book, a new beautiful mug, a new flavor of tea and maybe even a new cozy blanket. Curling up with a cozy blanket, a cup of tea in a beautiful mug and reading a book is my favorite form of self care ever! Especially when my chronic health issues have been really overwhelming and stressful. It helps just take me away from it all for just an hour or so and I can escape to another world. Did you know you can buy your own hospital gown online? I bought myself two of them with matching robes. They’re maternity gowns, but they have snaps and a tie all down the front and snaps at the shoulders. I got a tank top style and one is striped and one has flowers. I had been in the hospital for diverticulitis with colon perforation and they had only ONE gown left! Not only was it extra large, but most of the snaps did not work!! After the doctor said I would have to have another partial colectomy and re-section (I had had one 6 years earlier), I set out to get my own hospital gowns. SO much better!!

I wanted to comment a couple of things. I have Metastatic Breast Cancer and lost my mother in Sept. 2024. Seeing your mom with you reminds me so much of my mom and how she wanted to just take care of me all the time. She always said the same thing after each of my scans when good. “that makes my day”. Anyway, i have scans every 3 months and treatment each month. My treatment place has a lovely boutique in the lobby and I let myself get a little treat each time I go there. A pin or pair of earrings etc. just something small.

I was shocked at how anyone could go through such an intense surgery, how could the body handle it, I wondered? But you made it through and recovered, and now you have been through so many more surgeries and procedures since then. I'm constantly amazed at your resilience to keep going! You inspire me to keep forging ahead with the obstacles and struggles in my own life. I also reward myself with a book. Another thing I do is go have my nails done. Both are just me time activities and so relaxing. I’m thrilled you are done with one procedure. Rest and recover!
