Wish I had seen video before I fried the first pump from starvation! Louder then my truck was! Just found out from fitech that this is exactly how they are to be plumbed. Yes, the best way to go is the one inside the tank or a remote one that incorporates the stock fuel pump as a supply pump. Thanks for the video.

great info here, my only gripe is the feed bung on the tank is in the front and not the back. i prefer to have the feed bung in the rear so when you step on it and the fuel sloshes to the back it keeps the pump fueled and happy. be careful if you have low fuel in your cell. dope truck, quality build for sure! well thought out.

I’ve a question, i did the same setup except that my pump is along the base of the tank, the issue is that the pump stops pumping pressure after running for around 10-12 minutes, then after a while continues the pressure again Could the reason be that the pump has gone bad?

Nothing wrong with that mount. 👍

Wouldn't you want the fuel filter after the pump?
@mechtrician12 жыл бұрын
It has both. You need to prefilter at 40 microns. I have a 10 micron close to the engine.

@@mechtrician1 ah ok. I guess that'll work also. I have a bosch044 for my 2jz 240z. But want to redo everything since I'm traring it apart. Been trying to ind a good budget intank pump fuel cell... but damn near everyone I found is for inline pumps only.

What’s it like for noise? I have one setup very similar and after about 40 minutes it starts to get noisier. After about 90 minutes it’s quiet annoying.

Sounds like it’s getting hot. Mine is pretty quiet and consistent. In general is louder than an in tank pump just because that’s the nature of an in-line pump but I can’t hear it over the engine at all.

Do you think it is getting hot because it's running at 60PSI?@@mechtrician1

@@mechtrician1 Ok I’ll be installing a 400 hp N/A unit . So -8 from tank to feed pump , Then -6 to efi unit then -6 return? With vent fitting ? I saw that in your other video 👍
@mechtrician1 Жыл бұрын
@@meca13b yes the tank gets a vent line with a rollover valve. Yes -6 from the pump to the unit and -6 back.

The pump should be below the fuel level, but the installation location is not good.

How would I kno what pump I'll need for my truck I'm installing a fuel cell on my Silverado with a cammed 6.0
@mechtrician13 жыл бұрын
I would go with an in-tank fuel pump with a return from the regulator. Try to avoid in-line pumps if you can. 255lph will cover up to 600hp or so. Getting a tank that includes a pump is usually the easiest thing to do.

Won’t hurt it at all. It’s hermitically sealed.
