Astrid’s photos are by far the best Beatles images from their pre-fame days. I’m not gay but Stuart was a gorgeous looking guy. What a shame he died so young. And his passing on April 10 is also the day my Mom died in 2018.

Such a talent . He was ahead of his times .He assumed on himself the immage of the Ukl rock pop star even before his friends ,the Beatles , did that . He achieved well in advance that Caharisma , Astrid was fully aware of it and capture it on her camera . She got her choice and the best guy out of the Beatles than - She could have got as well John, Paul or George at that time since each of the boys were in love with her ,but she decided for Stu (Rip).

“I can’t remember anything without a sadness. So deep that it hardly becomes known to me. So deep that it’s tears leave me a spectator of my own stupidity.” - John Lennon (From part of a poem that he included in a letter to Stuart Sutcliffe in the early 1960’s.) Source: Apple Scruffs

I do not understand how anyone could “down-vote” this. I don’t necessarily agree with the message of the song, but I understand what they’re trying to say - and we were able to understand a little of what Stu was trying to say through his art…

Let's start in style, let's dance for a while, Heaven can wait we're only watching the skies. Hoping for the best, but expecting the worst, Are you gonna drop the bomb or not? Let us die young or let us live forever We don't have the power, but we never say never Sitting in a sandpit, life is a short trip The music's for the sad man. Can you imagine when this race is won? Turn our golden faces into the sun, Praising our leaders, we're getting in tune The music's played by the madman. Forever young, I want to be forever young. Do you really want to live forever? Forever, and ever Forever young, I want to be forever young Do you really want to live forever? Forever young. Some are like water, some are like the heat Some are a melody and some are the beat Sooner or later they all will be gone Why don't they stay young? It's so hard to get old without a cause I don't want to perish like a fading horse Youth's like diamonds in the sun, And diamonds are forever So many adventures couldn't happen today, So many songs we forgot to play So many dreams swinging out of the blue Oh let them come true Forever young, I want to be forever young. Do you really want to live forever, Forever, and ever? Forever young, I want to be forever young. Do you really want to live forever, Forever young? Forever young I want to be forever young Do you really want to live forever, Forever, and ever? Forever young, I want to be forever young. Do you really want to live forever?

Si, creo que tenía cierto parecido físico con JAMES DEAN. En la peinada es notable el parecido. En todo caso, el quinto Beatle, fué , sin que tal vez ellos lo supieran, el invisible motor de sus éxitos. Grande, Stu.

If Stu had lived-not as a Beatle band member but as an artist friend-what amazing things he would have contributed to the Beatles’ legacy. I don’t think John would have needed Yoko if he still had Stu. That’s not a knock on Yoko but just shows what John needed from a companion.

Life is but a twinkle of an eye. In a flesh body. LORD GOD knows. Strive to enter in at the strait gate; for many I say unto you will seek to enter in and shall not be able. Luke 13: 42. Matthews 7: 14. Because strait is the gate and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (King James Version.)

I did not like the movie Backbeat. In real life..John Lennon was sarcastically hilarious; John had a fabulous sense of humor. In the movie Backbeat..John was portrayed as nothing more than an angry asshole..with no humor whatsoever.

Many years ago it was said Lennon kicked Stuart in the head, and he developed headaches after.A story was concocted about others attacking Stuart. He was a talented, handsome young man and there was jelousy within the group of him, especially as he got Astrid.Lennon could be funny but was quite wicked at times aswe know.Be nice to have heard the other Beatles explanation of the incident that hurt Stew.

I bought all The Beatles records including early ones with Tony Sheridan.I bought John&Pauls solo records. I collected newspapers which featured them, and created a large scrapbook.John as he said after India,I allways sort the trouble out over Maharishi making eyes at a female.John also said he should have hit George over his remarks about Yoko.He then used George to play on the awful record How do you sleep about Paul! He liked to pull faces when disabled people were at concerts. He wrote beautiful songs, but noone got on the wrong side of him.

The James Dean of Hamburg...? That's a bit of a stretch. James Dean left behind him 3 great films, some TV work and numerous photographs of his colourful lifestyle. We know what he looked like, what he sounded like and what he could do. All we have of Sutcliffe are a few self consciously posed b/w photos and a few messy looking paintings. According to critics he could not play bass and by all acounts did not want to be a Beatle. All he has in common with James Dean is his untimely death.
