Dear Sai Krishna! This is the first time I am seeing your face. I am happy to see you and bless you with all my heart in all your ventures. Srinivas, along with his father, uncle, Kanyakumari, EMS and Bhaktavatsalam stayed with us in Montrealfor a week each time more than once. I treated Mandolin Srinivas like my son, but I also held him in awe as a musician, with the greatest respect. For some reason I treated him like a Maharishi when he was playing music.NEDUNURI KRISHNAMOORTHY ONCE SAID TO ME ABOUT YOUR FATHER: "WHEN HE IS NOT PLAYING MUSIC HE LOOKS LIKE ANY ORDINARY BOY. BUT WHEN HE PLAYS HIS MANDOLIN HE BECOMES AN ANGEL." He gave private concerts at our home. Very rarely do we see greatness and humility go together like we saw in him. Your video tribute should be made in several languages for your father's fame has spread to the four corners of the earth.

How blessed Sri MS was? What a contribution to Karnatak instrumental music is his? Who can remain uninfluenced by his manodharma sangeetha? His charukeshi just brings god down for all of us. Sometimes i wonder how can any body find any fault with such a great personality, how can any body mistake such a great personality, how can any body remain untouched by this personality... I also have no answer as to the sufferings by even musicians who are always singing / playing devotional music. This world is very difficult to understand. I do not know whether I am right. But I remember Nijaguna shivayogi's Haranamavanu bidade japisaballavara bhavamarana maya karma mala pasha bandha, BAHU DURITA samsara..... which means, this samsara is full of difficulties...

RIP.... I was a big fan of U Srinivas.... I had 3 cassettes during my childhood... That is when I was around 7 or 8 years old....which I used to hear whenever I had time.... మాండొలిన్ శ్రీనివాస్ వంటి వారి జననం ఒక కారణ జన్మం వంటిది. వారి కళ గురించి మాట్లాడటమంటే సూర్యుడిని, ఆకాశాన్ని అద్దం లో చూపించటం లాంటిది. అది సంపూర్నం గా ఎవ్వరికి సాధ్యమయ్యే పని కాదు. ఆయన పూర్వ జన్మ లొ ఔపోసన పట్టిన సంగీత సాగరాన్ని మనకి అందించటం కోసమే ఈ జన్మ ఎత్తారు. అందులో మనల్ని ఓలలాడించి కనిపించని తీరాలకి తరలిపోయారు. సాధారణం గా ఒక వ్యక్తి మరణం ఆ కుటుంబ సభ్య్జ్లని మాత్రమే విషాదం లో మూంచుతుంది. కానీ ఆయన నిష్క్రమణ మొత్తం సంగీత ప్రియులని తీరనిదుఖం లో ముంచింది. ఇప్పటికీ ఆయన మరణం ఒక అబద్ధమేమో, ఇంకా ఇంకా ఆయన కచేరీలు కొత్త కొత్తగా వింగలమేమో అనే భ్రమ కలుగుతుంది. నాకు రెండు సార్లు south Indian Cultural Association వాళ్ళ కార్యక్రమాల్లో ప్రత్యక్షం గా ఆయన కార్యక్రమం పూర్తిగా ౩ గంటలు విని, ఆయన్ని చూసే భాగ్యం కలిగింది. అది మళ్ళీ అనుభవించలేని ఒక గొప్ప అదృష్టం. వారి అబ్బాయి తండ్రి లాగానే తను ఎన్నుకున్న రంగం లో ఎవరు అందుకోలేని ఎత్తులు ఎదగాలని మనస్ఫూర్తిగా కోరుకుంటున్నాను.
