My oldest cat usually doesn't care about things on the TV, but she was mesmerized by this. We enjoyed it together.

I love the music you make but the tape disintegration - to go through such extremes for an aesthetic rather than as an innovation seems to miss the idea of why Basinsky created his work of art. I understand why Basinsky did it when he did it and what he was trying to say. it’s place in the history of art and modern composition is important. Here it seems more of a novelty.
