We went through the phase where yt videos were uploaded in 4:3 with 16:9 black bars and now here we are with uploads in 16:9 with 21:9 black bars. One day yt uploaders will just learn to stop uploading with black bars and just upload in whatever aspect ratio the video was edited in because all players already create black bars when necessary.
