@@mister-BH Metal was never the king of MTV. MTV was invented in the context of pop music. Today it has little to nothing in common with music, only with celebrities. Metal was and it will always be a niche, because it´s music made by, and for, real music lovers, which are not the majority of people. As for dark genres of music that have nothing to do with Metal, what are you referring to?

You know what is funny? Metalheads are most open-minded people when it comes to listening music. My top bands are Manowar, Iced Earth, Nightwish, Ayreon and everything from Snowy Shaw... but I love Behemoth, Amon Amarth, Rough Silk, Celesty, Dark At Dawn, Theocracy or another hundreds of bands... But I have no problem to listen to Dimash, because he is amazing. In my phone I have Beethoven as well...or Toby Keith (american country :D) ... I have no problem to listen good stuff... when/if its good. How many "radio" listeners can say the same... they thing that metal is about satan... that's it :D My phone has thousands of songs and I always listen to whole album, 95per is metal, all genres but I am capable of appreciating good music

"The Conjurer" Do you remember? How we watched the moon Counted all the shimmering stars Inhaled the night Do you still remember? Do you even care? Words spoken in the darkness And the promise made Do you remember at all? How we two made the winds rise We could walk in each other's dreams Run the woods in wolf's skin But I remember Still I remember You made the vows to return to me On this shore by the silent sea How we lost it all? Below the argent moon And longing still it holds me And yearning still it reigns For all this life I've waited On this blackened shore And longing still it holds me tight And yearning still prevails For all this life I've waited you Below the argent moon And I know it in my heart You will never come to me By the side of someone else You will watch the gleaming skies I shall tear down all the stars Steal the moon from heaven's arms They will never shine upon your path As you roam the endless night If I can't share the moon with you Then no one will And longing still it holds me And yearning still it reigns For all this life I've waited On this blackened shore And longing still it holds me tight And yearning still prevails For still I wait to hear your voice Below the empty skies Nevermore shall we walk again Below the argent moon

Their singer Niilo literally bowed to me in thanks. I shook it off and said it should be me bowing man lol they are such humble dudes. I asked them to please never give up on Insomnium, that the music scene needs bands like theirs now more than ever. He comforted me in saying they had no plans of disbanding in the foreseeable future, and then their album Heart Like A Grave was released around my birthday. I love a ton of bands, and Insomnium is my favorite. I am greatful to have discovered them.

Exactly my thoughts (and history) as well. It's a good callback to older stylings that caught us older fans in the first place, but with elements of their stylistic evolution in the mix as well so it is a newer song for them, and not just playing on nostalgia.
@DomMcsweeney-DoomPlugs3 жыл бұрын
@@AzraelBlackstar Definitely agree with that! Some of their newer stuff has left me feeling like something was missing. I guess it's because I had a big gap between enjoying their first two albums and the later on material and they had developed into a bigger band, and their style had slightly changed. I'm really digging this new stuff, it also certainly helps being there when it's just been released and feeling that new buzz. =)
