Like a lot of us at our age, ive been playing for years but what i find with watching your stuff, is you come up with stuff that i may have played years ago but have forgotten all about them and you reignite the spark that says oh yeah, i remember doing that, and the old memory, aided by yourself kicks in. I hope the youngsters watching appreciate your time and effort, cos i do buddy..😊👍🍻

Rob that was really great. I like your idea of doing the sixties music, especially Beatles from the "good old days". Every time you come out with a new video I get the guitar out, and bomb again. I'll get it one day - with inspiration watching you.

Hi Rob, that lesson (your down to earth approach) your information on melodies song writing and the sixties was most enjoyable, cheers. 😊👍

Have you heard Roddy Frame doing this? He does a gorgeous fingerstyle version, well worth a listen. Could you do a lesson in that style of this my favourite fabs tune?

John Lennon was relatively famous for strumming all the strings open, between chords, on purpose and for effect in his rhythm playing. Great lesson on a great song. Thanks for making this video!

Mr. Rob, thank you! Your lessons are just brilliant!! Your one lesson for fingerpicking/ Travis picking where you talk about, “ Outer, Inner” technique helped a lot. Along with several others. I was wondering if you ever thought about teaching a song by the Turtles called “House Of Pain”? I think it is a classic song, one everyone should have on their playlist. But, also it would be fun to learn I think. Again thank you for you time and lessons! I hope you have a happy and wonderful holiday!

I always respected Taylor guitars, very bright but also full range(ish) and loud. Sadly I will probably not be getting myself one, I need a 7 string acoustic. Will likely be getting a custom from one of those companies that make custom 7s. My voice also gotten lower, but not due to age alone (I am """young"""), just that I didn't practice, not a actual singer.

Will have to disagree with you on "what makes a song great". Colin Hay essentially told his rhythm section that they are replaceable, and irrelevant. So, they left. On the 3rd Men at Work album, he used session musicians and computers. And so the sound was generic, and no one gave a damn about THE SONGS; the sound was now generic, and all the love just spilled away. All because the drummer and the bassist were told they don't matter. You are wrong, Robert. Not entirely wrong, but you'll get me I think.

Yep, we’ll have to agree to disagree. 👍🏻

@@fennahrob6934 There has to be a reason why the 3rd Men at Work album killed the band, and I challenge the entire English speaking population of this planet to produce a better explanation.
