I’ve become a huge fan of burgundy this past year! Have probably 5-6 pairs now. 4 sit on the shelf often. For me, bc I don’t have to wear super formal all the time, I don’t have to wear Black cap toe Oxford daily, so I find that burgundy was the great versatile option. They go with everything. So I will get more creative with them. As you should too!

I find that particular colour of snuff suede very wearable with most trousers. Like Edward Green’s snuff suede! Apart from black of course which is rather more formal but suits most trouser colours.

ive never bought bespoke as its quite a ways out of my price bracket, but i myself also need a much wider fit in the toebox than the heel. carmina seem to have a last that caters to this, ill have to see about buying a pair of them at some point if they do provide the fit i need. i also really like carminas stuff in general, they are very nice for their price point.

I love them. They look beautiful on shelves and on certain people, but I’m just coming around to styling my burgundy shoes. They give me a buying itch when I see them, but they’re harder to style than regular brown shoes.

Hi Victor, Burgundy does that a little bit more thought to wear with an outfit. We would suggest going for a darker burgundy as it would be easier to wear. It would pair nicely with a Navy suit too.

with these darker pants, i very much prefer the colour of the chisel toe than the lighter almond toe, as it creates kind of a strong contrast

Hey Mark, I really really like the color of your balmoral Yohei Fukuda oxford. The color, as you said, is difficult to find in RTW on the market. I am, like you, a burgundy shoe fanatic. Also, a balmoral fanatic. So, when I see this one you got, I cant express my appreciation for your taste.

Good video. Funny i have an old pair of Allen Edmonds from about 1988 that are burgundy. They are just amazing quality before that company went down the drain. Still in great shape and dont wear them much. Actually just bought two pair of ferragamo suede boots so on the same track as you. Right time and place for all I suppose. After COVID anyway. 😊

I had a pair of Gaziano Girling Balfour in deco square last. I am seriously considering Yohei Fukuda shoes either Guethe or Ebony in Suede / Coffee. Do you have any recommendations for me about sizing and last shaped. Balfour is exactly perfect fitting with less space on my toes. Will the suede give me a little space on toes?

Yes I have few pairs of burgundy shoes..love them for the fall and winter only..why you may ask? For the spring and summer season I wear only spectators..tassel loafers..bucks..huaraches..boat shoes..I want to embrace the warm weather..let's enjoy it..PEACE..over and out

All my dress shoes are either black or oxblood. I wear so many really dark jackets or brown jackets that brown and tan shoes don’t really work with most things in my wardrobe. Besides I work in the automotive business and anything not black or dark colored will get stained walking through auto garages.

No burgundy shoes in my collection. I don’t know why, it could be a desire to keep the size of my shoe collection manageable. I feel more comfortable in a dark brown, I find it more discreet than burgundy.
