I remember seeing this movie on TV when I was younger. Not even ten minutes in and I was already blown away by the artstyle and invested in the story. It became my fav movie. Sadly I was the only one who watched it since my family weren't home at that time.

I watched this movie 3 or 4 years ago I still LOVE it It’s very unique and I love the art style and how things played out Expect for the fact that most of this could have been avoided if The former Guardian took a few minutes to teach mune how to control the harp-like controls Someone in the comments was pointing out some really good facts so let me add on if the characters had stronger mindsets and weren’t so easily persuaded and corrupted this could’ve been avoided What I think is that the guardians of the moon and sun should’ve taught the boys how to control things and even before this I forgot his name but the main character that was the guardian of the sun should’ve had proper training and studying before hand this seems pretty irresponsible to me they should spend nearly half their lives training for these rules since they’re so important not just be handed it and expect you to spend the rest of your life guarding the most sacred things in the world literal night and day And in the first place the main character who is the guardian of the sun seemed pretty conceited and self-absorbed (there might be a few misspellings in this but do you guys understand what I’m trying to say?)

but then again not really, it wouldn't have been avoided if mune refrained from playing w/ the moon. because him playing w/ the moon didn't cause anything of what happened (aside from maybe messing w/ the day/night cycle, but there wasn't even enough time before everything happened to prove or disprove that). It was leeyon who persuaded sohone to leave his post so that the subterranean dudes could steal the sun, and sohone proved to be pretty easily tricked, so leeyon would've done it either way. it was pretty odd though that just because mune played w/ the moon the moon carrier just decided to stop doing what it's supposed to do (which oh yeah, i just remembered that's what would've affected the day/night cycle. lol). don't really understand why it would do that and i doubt it was ever explained in the movie.

I believe the studio that produced this went bankrupt or smth, it was an indie film I think so it's poor box office reception put the company under. Although the studio that animated the 2D scenes, studio la cachete, is still around. They animated gendy tartakovskis (?) primal, as well as another smaller project
