This movie isn't about the afterlife, it's about being human. We all contain "judges" in our own minds who torture us because of "sins" we've committed. We need to foster forgiveness (for self and others) and in doing so, we create defenders who stand for us against the judgment, allowing us to move on with our lives and "reincarnate". If we remain in shame and judgment of ourselves, we become stuck and cannot grow as a person.

Well, technically they are. As they're at peak of those judgement calls. It's just a movie but it's quite the irony to unjustly punish individuals for sins among people who are too socially awkward to speak for themselves. Makes you wonder that those deities are hypocritical sinners themselves as they're so quick to judge and punish, it would make one think many of those they've sent to suffer were also not giving the right answers and quickly sent to their punishment, if it weren't for those guardians to speak for him, he would have failed round 1. However, those guardians we're only helping so they could acquire their own selfish desire.

Yep, people are inherently kind. Its just the knowledge they obtain, environment and how brain develops as one grows. The difference in personality also acquired by environment just like how people in the West and Asia view life differently. People in the west esp. in America value individuality where in Asia especially in East Asia value collectivism as one need to cooperate to other. Theres no right or wrong in every actions taken. Its only perceived wrong when someone dont agree with it. Its also about how limited their perspective can be. For example, religious people dont agree with homosexuals as they deem it wrong where people in LGBT community see it as love regardless of gender. People who dont eat dog meat and pork see people eating it as wrong but people eating it dont bec. How come when you eat other meat make it morally right, it just doesnt make sense. Its also the same with vegetarians who dont eat meat bec. of their love to animals. people who think killing people are bad but think its not when it come to killing bad people or for self defence. Its the same with war, they dont think its bad bec. It is for defending their country. Thats why I dont believe in any religion, they restrict people from thinking into diff. perspective. Damn these judges are awful to have reasons why: 1. They always jump to conclusions 2. They seem to torture a lot of innocent souls 3. If they tortured any innocent souls then they deserve to die.
@usernamesareoverrated53992 жыл бұрын
there is no real justice. It only shows that the people who are strong and have power over you are right and the ones who defend themselves end up being the bad ones. If you are srong, you are innocent but full of crime, if you are weak you are punished but not guilty

Pretty cool story, and I'm sure the take away is supposed to be a good story about redemption and facing the injustices you've personally contributed to the world... but.. ... honestly I just find it depressing that the afterlife is essentially a massive collection of trials and eternal torture devices that's basically impossible to pass because even if you're a generally good person the godly judges that preside over each trial kinda suck at their job.
