Your two braids look amazing, Elle! I have been using Mielle Organics White Peony Leave In Conditioner since January or February of this year, and the smell is okay to me too, but it works for my freshly cleansed not fully wet to damp normal to low porosity hair before flat twists and cornrow braids are done to my own hair. I love how soft & moisturized it makes my hair feel! I am almost done with my first bottle that I purchased from their website on Black Friday last year. I have been using it with Mielle Organics Avocado Moisturizing Hair Milk which my hair loves, and I can get a few more usss out of my first bottle of the Hair Milk. I've been loving their deep conditioner and their curl cream since last month! I've been loving their Edge Gel since January or February, and will hopefully open & try their Styling Gel soon.

I love Mielle Organics. The deep conditioner feels refreshing on the scalp. The styling gel is great too.

As for the leave-in, the fragrance sweetens once you layer it with another product.

I love how this leave in spray is for all hair types my hair is wavy with loose curls and does a great job with detangling , my daughters hair is more tightly curled 3b/3c and does the same for her giving her enough hydration really great leave in but your definitely right with the smell it’s not for everyone it reminds me of something my grandmother would use on her hair lol I’m more of a fruity tropical when it comes to hair products

So glad you're reviewing this! I've used the leave-in twice now after coloring my hair and I LOVE IT! It elongates my hair and leaves it incredibly soft. My only con is I really dislike the spray nozzle/handle. :( The product squirts/stream is strong and often flies everywhere but my hair!

Have you tried the deep conditioner by Mielle? It's really good. The leave in is okay but like you I prefer it as a refresher! Great review! Your hair is adorable.

I have not replaced my Shea Moisture JBCO leave in. I suspect something about the formula has changed but it's still good. And like you Elle, I enjoy those products that smell like sweet foods (Bakery ). I've always hated the smell of Carl's Daughter line. There was always a lingering chemical smell so I passed on everything. I just came across her Rhassoul clay line. I'm in love with the sent. I've used the deep conditioner and my hair was so soft. I went back to target and got the last bottle of shampoo. I'm dying to take my braids out to try it. Elle will you or have you tried the line? People raved about Alakay's lemon grass leave in. I tried it. The smell was overwhelming. Gave me a migraine. Reminded me of that furniture polish smell. I was it out after an hour and the smell still lingered. I think Oyin, Curl Junkie, and Agadir are companies that have great products without all the hype and I love them.

I haven't used Carol's Daughter in years but I always look at the ingredients now and feel lackluster about them. I did love the Chocolat line, but they got rid of that one. :(

I have a question you said that liquid products don't absorb well into your hair but how does creamy products do it because they have a thicker consistency and I think it is more difficult for your hair to absorb it. Let me know please I also have low porosity and colour treated hair and have problems with my hair don't know what to use liquid or creamy products with glicerin or whiteout. Kisses.

+Analis Var I smooth creamy products on my hair, when I spray liquids on they sometimes just sit there and when you try to smooth them, they don't really have enough slip. I hope that makes sense!

+ThisOwl No, I wouldn't buy it again because I don't prefer watery leave ins. Check out my HG list - most of my faves do not have glycerin and I also have done several videos about it! I'll probably do anothet one for winter haircare.

You go into details a lot of people don’t. You get it. I’m looking for that leave-in/moisturizer that does not require daily application because it leaves my hair moisturized for at least 3 days with no glycerine or ingredients that cause unnecessary shrinkage. Is that too much to ask for lol.

The Mielle Organics DC is really good. Just don't like the smell and it lingers. I can still smell it AFTER the next wash day! Also your scalp is supposed to tingle when you use it and that has not happened for me. I wonder if I got a bad batch of it?

It's not just you. That DC has very strong scent. I think it's supposed to be minty, but it's just too strong. The mint oil is the same. They work well on my hair, but I won't repurchase because of the odor. I mean scent. 🙄. I do, however, enjoy the leave in and the avocado hair milk.

I did a little experiment when I had a TWA, that's how I figured out that my hair is better off without it. It's fine in optimal dew points but I got tired of checking the weather everyday before I did my hair!

Don't really like the smell. Smells like household cleaning product. This is also the first line of products that I noticed none of the products smell alike.
