I experienced absolute beauty today in the parking lot at my doctor's office.. This young man was helping what I assume was his grandfather into the doctor's office.. his gentleness with him was beautiful.. It made me think of how I never had a grandpa (both passed before I was born) and the obvious love was... beautiful. YOUR videos have helped me notice things like this more often. They have helped me sit back and reflect on those moments. Thank you!

Some day, I will publish my books. The stories will change people's lives forever, when they read them. During lockdown I discovered how much the search for beauty (by going outdoors with my pocket camera) does for my mental health. At times taking pictures of moss, snowflakes and or trees seemed like the only good thing that could happen in days or even weeks. @Dilligent Yeoman yeah I totally agree. Thin Red Line changed my life. I saw that movie for the first time about a year ago. I’m only 16. I think The spark that Witt sees in welsh is something that is there in all of us. It’s something truly divine. This is such a beautiful monologue because he realizes that that spark is the only truth and everything else a lie. I don’t know what you think of the Bible, But in proverbs when it says “the fear of god is the beginning of knowledge” I believe that is what it means to fear god. I say to myself, Let that spark grow into a flame that consumes me. Rather than answer I will question. Rather than worry I will fill my eyes with wonder. Rather than trying to understand my existence I will trust in what is greater than me.

"To be enveloped by light, yet at the same time, shining." Thank you. It's a profound experience to have your heart's greatest desire encapsulated in a single sentence. This whole video is a work of art that is at once an ode and a critique of art itself. Hearing you talk about losing yourself to the pursuit of absolute beauty only to find it alluding you is exactly what I have been struggling with. There's nothing worse than the feeling of almost being able to touch the heart of humanity, to look God in the eye, and discovering at the last moment that you can't go all the way. What does the 99% matter if that last 1% is unattainable? It takes a huge load off my shoulders to know that I am not the only one who feels this way.

I hiked up a mountain in Kazachstan with my girlfriend to visit a monastery. Hungover and stomach trouble caused by feasting with her family the night before, we finally got to the top. On the other side of the mountain on this summer day we looked down on a beautiful, green valley, looking towards other mountains. This was one of the most powerful experiences of my life. It made me cry, I feel tears welling up thinking back. I felt part of the mountains, as if they were close family. Then I relieved my intestinal stress in a small wooden closet with a hole in it with no door on the slope. It was the most relaxing crap ever..

Every time you come out with a video, I’m reminded I’m not the only one who feels this way or thinks like this. You manage to express everything I feel, inside of twenty two minutes. And to scroll down the comments and find others like me who are in love with this content brings some small amount of joy. I’ve been lost and surviving for god knows how long, getting through each day and just living, trying to hide from the pain and sadness that I carry inside. ☀️Ever heard of the artist Stanislaw Szukalski, as a child he supposedly loved to stare at the sun but non close to him knew how damage full it could be until he burnt a hole on his retina or something and since then he always looked at things having a permanent black dot. As a traditional artist myself, I can say that there are times when drawing, that you seem to fall into this space or "zone", where all sounds, smells, and even thoughts seem to mute. As an artist I recognize this when it happens and only after I got married and had children, did I realize that it can happen in other moments as well. When I'm focused wholeheartedly on my wife or playing with my children without thought of myself or things I need to get done. The world in those moments seems to slip away. I've come to realize that those moments of pure joy, or "absolute beauty", always include something or someone outside of myself. It always involves some form of creation. And to me, those moments we get to experience are like a fraction of a fraction of what God experiences with His creations. And what an unspeakable honor it is, to just catch a glimpse of them as they pass by. Thank you so much for making this video, Tom. Its a good reminder to cherish those moments.

Speaking as a Christian, I think we can come to appreciate more of the beauty in life as we make ourselves each other’s servants. We see God in the least among us and as we prepare these meals and present each other with our alms of love and compassion, thoughtfulness and caring. Beauty as a human phenomenon must be inextricably connected with other humans. Focusing only on how we experience beauty consumes us in a destructive manner. But recognizing that that there is a health to beauty and it’s achieved through service to other humans is to taste of the greatest of Christian gifts-the gift of Christ Himself.

When I was 6 years old I was hit by a truck while riding my bike. I don’t remember any of the accident. A local nurse was the first person on the scene. She pronounced me dead as I lie lifeless on the street. After a few brief moments another person on the scene found a heartbeat. I lived. Miraculously. That day changed my life. Since then I feel like I was given a second chance. A chance to feel. A chance to reach. A chance to wonder. A chance to love. A chance to live. I feel as though this life can live out it’s chapters within us. We are these stories of grace, forgiveness, love, and evil. It’s all such a beautiful gift to be assigned these chapters to be lived in the brightest colors, and the darkest shades. I was given a gift of life. Of salvation. And with that second chance, I’m attempting to finish a chapter which will dissolve, beautifully, into eternity. Thank you, LSOO, for a brief glimpse of your chapter.

We were on holiday down the South Island going through the haast pass and we went over this ridge and below was Lake Hawea. The colour was the deepest green blue, it was so... even now many years later that emotional upwelling at the memory of that colour is very powerful. I have seen deep blue skies but even that depth would pale to what I saw that day. Maybe it was the surprise coming over the ridge, maybe it was just that time of the day but it felt alive, more if felt pure. Of all the things I have witnessed in my life a simple almost flat colour is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I too enjoy watching the dance of colours at sunset but I found absolute beauty in Purity.
